I have my Wii hacked and I still do not use it much. The last time I used it was last December to play Xenoblade and Skyward Sword. Twilight Princess was good.

But yes, for $50 I think it is worth.

I never got around to hacking my Wii, so that might be something I will do soon as well.

It's weird, I tend to get in on Nintendo consoles at the very end of their life-cycles. I got my Gamecube right before Wii came out. It's fun that way-- there are tons of games and they're mostly cheap. Mario Galaxy for 15 bucks, for instance.

I almost liked Mario Galaxy. Unfortunately, the controls did me in. I tolerated the pointing at the screen bullshit to collect stars, but the controller tilting side to side manta ray racing was just too shitty to accept. I think I threw a fit over it akin to my NES Ninja Gaiden days. Fuck that, I'm too damn old to let a game frustrate me to that point, especially if it's a control issue.

Read some real favorable reviews of the single player. Especially happy to see that it's isn't a clone of itself. Being it's a short game, I think I'll play this weekend.

true, true... but still, i'm hoping this will be a rockstar game i can actually force myself through. it sounds like with the three playable characters you have a lot of ways to carry out each mission, which seems pretty cool. plus supposedly it cuts out a lot of the "drive 10 minutes to get here and shoot one guy" type missions

maybe i missed some posts, but did anyone get ass creed 3? it's gonna be $35 at best buy on black friday and i'm seriously tempted to try out another AC game after my terrible experience with AC2.

That IS all gameplay footage with cutscenes mixed in. Rockstar always cuts trailers entirely using in-game footage with creative camera angles. They don't doctor things up with fancy CGI or use maxed out PC versions for trailers.

I'd like to say possibly the smartest and greatest thing I have ever done was to name my horse Asshole in Twilight Princess. Why? Because about five minutes into the game a little asian child loked at my character and said, "I washed asshole for you..."

So, you bought the Wii already. I like Oligarch Pisscubes because he delivers. Old Proletariat Pisscubes would have kept asking about Nintendo Wiis features for 6 months while he saved more cushion money in his bank (another $50) and then he would buy the worst busted Wii he could find in craigslist.

Sort of torn between continuing Dishonored or trying out Black Ops II. I'm drinking Saki tonight, which is rare for a Friday. I think Saki goes better with Dishonored.
