spooky also said LA Noire was the birth of jesus in gaming and you compared dragon dogma to Dark Souls unjustly so I'll now carry on not caring to play that game

I played a few hours of Dragon's Dogma and just couldn't get into it for some reason. Same thing for Kingdom of Amalur which came out right around the same time. Both games had a lot of positive media and a lot of good fan reception. I got bored of both really quickly which made me sad because I was super excited for both.

I know my man Slinky liked Dragon's Dogma a lot, and Spooky Apparition I think. I think it was probably just me but yeah I really wasn't a fan of either.

star wars: republic commando was a lot of fun way back when.

with a couple fixes dragon's dogma would be an excellent rpg. even adding a proper fast travel system would do wonders.

still: jumping on a griffin that was attacking cows and being flown all over hell and creation

ahh, I though I read that they were just giving players unlimited access to the stone that ports you back to the hub city. If they actually added fast travel locations that's fucking awesome.

Based on player feedback, Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen will make the Dragon's Dogma gameplay experience even more satisfying with improvements such as easier travel and a more intuitive menu system. For those who already own Dragon's Dogma and then purchase Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen, these improvements will be automatically retrofitted to their original game save data.

I'm kind of bummed that mh3:ultimate is only for 3ds and wii u because I have zero fucking interest in getting either one but I kind of want to play it.

Regarding the other stuff, I'm relatively easily amused. I'm sure ill enjoy most/all of those games to some extent.
if there's anybody in the world who'd be fucking unobservant enough to actually damage themselves with trap-soap I guess it'd be the guy with dialup in 2007

A lot of foraging for enemy parts, herbs, ore feeding a pretty expansive crafting system. A lot of micromanaging your inventory and your pawns/bank. Gear can be upgraded with various components and can end up lasting you for multiple levels. Purchased/upgraded more of my gear than equipping random drops. Amount of sheer stuff that can be gathered can be a bit overwhelming if you're like me and have to ocd drag back everything to your bank.

la noire was flawed but lovable you bastard. but overall I liked the idea of it and what it tried to do more than the game itself

which is kind of like dragons dogma, except I think DD is fun as shit (usually). it's a game I wouldn't straight up recommend to most people, but I loved how it went overboard on nerdy rgp shit and had solid combat for an rgp once you got used to it. sounds like the expansion is going to fix fast travel, which was the most aggravating part of the game.

i think i mentioned before that even though the story is very minimalistic if for the most part, the last chunk is just bizarre and out there, even for a jrpg. and the stilted ye olde english dialogue is like shakespeare translated into japanese and then back into english again, it's hilarious

it's not in the same league as dark souls, but I played it a lot more than skyrim and will probably get the expansion

you know what, fuck that. la noire was sweet as hell. I know KRB praised it when it came out, as did others here. schwartz, a whole studio lost their livelihoods after that labor of love, show some respect for the little guy... not cool man

In The Witcher 2, the repercussions of your choices dramatically shaped its three insular acts. Badowski suggests that consequences in the Witcher 3 will be more localised, but just as significant. Geralt will cross the battle lines of the burgeoning war often during his travels, and Badowski hints that entire towns could be razed, or saved, depending on Geralt’s actions. Over the course of the 80-hour adventure, your choices will build towards one of three different endings.

Everything sounds fapalicous. I really wish the article had some video.

replaying the original bioshock (never finished it when it came out), and while it had a bigger impact on gaming when it came out than infinite did, infinite is a much better game overall
