Total fail on my part. We'll try again some other time altogether. Oddly enough I never died, nor took damage. I was very angry at the 360 button layout and how fat my dude looked despite the slim body I picked.

replaying the original bioshock (never finished it when it came out), and while it had a bigger impact on gaming when it came out than infinite did, infinite is a much better game overall

having said that...

the sander cohen part is fucking phenomenal. working on completing his masterpiece right now FUCK this would have been amazing to experience in 2007

homefront was so fucking retarded

the funny thing is that mechanically it's completely solid, but everything else about the game is a goddamn tragedy. all you have to do to break the game so bad that you have to load a save is to go somewhere other than where the dot on the screen tells you to.

i had guys teleporting everywhere, getting stuck on walls, etc. among the many things the developers didn't consider when balancing the game was pc players and the all-powerful mouse aim. i'd have headshotted every single enemy on the screen but my guys would still be running for cover and saying like "TAKE THEM OUT" as i'm slowly walking around collecting ammo.

What character are you using? I've seen a couple sick combo videos with Bane and Soloman Grundy that do over 100% damage.

I'm not so sure who I'll use, probably whoever is the lamest character so I can zone people out, Sinestro, Aquaman, or Hawkgirl maybe....not sure.

chicks suck pretty bad in the game but Hawkgirl is pretty good
Bane and Soloman aren't working for me either but Doomsday seems like my go to big guy

Shazam is probably the best but is too cheap for my tastes

Obviously I'm excited that it exists and I will undoubtedly enjoy it simply because of the license, but I trust the Mortal Kombat guys to make another genuinely good game about as much as I trust M. Night Shyamalan to arrive with a decent follow-up to The Sixth Sense...

If J'onn winds up being one of the DLC characters I will probably pick it up sooner rather than later

Mk9 was a fun game, and this is like a hybrid of that and traditional 2d fighters, like Street fighter, plus some additional bells and whistles.

If you like DC, get it.

MK9 was solid. Unfortunately my main experience with it was always with a standard 360 controller, and I've never been able to use the D-Pad on that thing. Not hating, but it definitely prevented me from really getting into the game at all.

I'm a ginormous fan of the original MK trilogy and although the genre has evolved a lot, those are still my preferred fighting games. The franchise took a soulless, unforgivable shit after that... wothless, awful software.

The hype surrounding this game has been wonderful to see because it's been a peculiar example of the general population getting all excited about my niche obsession... I'm just concerned that the game is going to be stupid... because most video games that try to be serious are really fucking stupid.

I just want the actual gameplay to be well thought-out and fun... not just some good-for-the-first-weekend thing.

I feel you on the 360 controller, that thing is ass for these games. I don't get your other reasons though. Story mode was meh, but I think they represented the characters well. They did a good job in making them play very differently.
