Good to know. Hopefully the later editions have larger hdds.
spacehamster wrote:Anyway, yeah, I don't know about GOTY (seriously, man, is your middle name hyperbole?), but it's definitely an underrated game.
I'm easily excitable.

Spooky re: TW3 the books will provide some good backstory, especially for the third game, if you don't feel like or have the means to play them. Don't worry about spoilers because all the games take place after the books. I'm sure they'll include some sort or Previously on The Witcher... for PS players.

I finally went through with buying a 1 slot neo geo mvs system and consolizing it. I'm not 100% done just yet. I still need to mount the 5 pin din for the power when i get the panel mounts in, and get a piece of plexiglass cut to mount onto the bottom of it. Not bad for about 4 real hours of work. Instead of using the actual jamma harness to pull the signals for joysticks, video, and power, I plotted out the bottom of the board and found points that can be used there to keep it looking clean. I can't play anything yet as both of my sticks are in the mail coming from Japan. I can, however, watch the attract mode for King of Fighters 99 and World Heroes 2 Jet. Supposed to go to an amusement store here in Denver this week to buy some more games. Last time I was there he said he'd do 10 for $100, which is a damn good deal. Fingers crossed for some Metal Slugs, Bust-a-Move, Windjammers, and Samurai Shodown 2. Anything else is just a plus.

Anyone dumb enough to actually do that deserves to have their console bricked.

Heard about that. Also read that you can dump your load on a planet and set a nav marker for retrieval as it's supposed to be just a character wipe? No idea if true.

people are saying that but i don't believe it. especially since they're redoing the way planets and monsters are ranked for difficulty.

the good news is they're getting rid of that stupid armor piercing statistic and making the gear have stats that make sense

Traded in Killzone, was hoping local retailer had Bravely Default but no dice. Might trade in battlefield 4 and get a vita? Does that handheld have a future?

it'll probably never be bombarded with exclusives, but there'll be a steady stream of ports for sure. so if you want portable versions of stuff it seems like a pretty safe buy. i finally got/opened my vita last night and holy shit the screen is great. do any of you have screen protectors?

and speaking of vita ports, spelunky cross-buy is $3.75 this week for PS+

I'm pretty unfocused as to what I have been playing:

Beat Timespiltters

Played 1 level of Timesplitters 2 :star:

Discovered I have no game data saved for XIII, have to start from scratch (unknown as of now if the fault lies with me or the game)

The nickle and dime-ing of Dragon's Crown continues. :)

I threw a drunken fit because I thought that either my Gamecube controller broke or the emulation via the Wii fouled up Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes. Turns out the start button doesn't work in the game with out also A or B being pressed at the same time.

Amazing Spider-Man game licensed from the movie with that homo that wants Spider-Man to be a homo too. What a homo!!! Game wasn't bad at all. Wannabe Arkham game is rather slick, if not pretty easy. Too easy really, my hand was held quite a bit. Good thing too, I was bombed.

One of the best RPG's ever made and one of my favorite games ever. Don't mean to over inflate your expectations though, if you're not into snes rpgs it may be a trial to get into. Then again, maybe not.

I think it's halfway between an SNES FF and Link to the Past - action is more dungeon crawler style

I couldn't really get into that game when a girlfriend and I tried to go through it (she was a massive fan) but maybe that's always because getting it on was a reasonable, available alternative
