Latest book you read (1-10 scale)
Two short stories:
The Bungalow House - Thomas Ligotti
I had to reread this since I found out during a past discussion that when I read this, I wasn't totally coherent since I was on a plane over the Pacific for hours. I wish the audio tapes from this story were real. 8/10
The Midnight Meat Train - Clive Barker
All I can really say is SERVE. 7/10

You should watch "Metal: A Headbanger's Journey", I think you would really like that too...The Real MPD wrote:Lord of Chaos - 9.5

The City and The City 7
Page-turner for sure
but what's the point?
For some reason before I started I thought this author wrote in-some-way subversive books, but I'm not really seeing it.

The Thousandfold Thought (The Prince of Nothing Book 3) - R Scott Bakker. 9/10
This whole series was great. Bakker is a damn fine writer. Of all the fantasy I have read, I have never been sucked into a world like I have in this series. Definitely going for the next series.

MPD you're gonna make me finish it if you keep this up. Just thinking about The Shadow Rising and Lord of Chaos gets me geeked. I'm somewhere toward the end of Winter's Heart.

I'm powering through Against the Day right now but I'm picking this up right after. Looks like old Gene will have to wait a little longer. The Real MPD wrote:Winter's Heart - 8.5

No solid production date is set and no cast have yet been signed, but we’ll be watching this one with interest.
