yep. i think after all this time it's probably my least favorite of the three, but it's pretty darn good.

it's one of those games that kind of takes a few hours to really get rolling though

I'll play just about anything for $5. AC has some pacing issues but overall a lot of fun.

I haven't played it yet and I probably won't get around to anything but Dark Souls 2 and The Witcher 3 in 2014 (and who the fuck needs anything else), but wasn't basically the only complaint about AC that it was just more of the same? And "the same" being Arkham gameplay, i.e. really good? That's what I remember. So I'll probably blow five bucks on it eventually too.

Flying around Gotham is worth the price of admission alone.

I am very curious as to what kind of game Rocksteady will release next.

Wait, he said Arkham City, not Origins. Either way it's a huge yes.

i on the other hand stand by the fact that i think that Origins > City. less filler, no pacing problems. better story?

God, the Catwoman shit sucked so bad.

But, uh, yeah, City is definitely recommended. Whoops +1.

Yeah, dude. If you can get the game with out the Catwoman stuff, or just not install it, I'd recommend doing that.

They updated the PC version almost every week or two weeks since release. Console restrictions and all that. I don't know why Sony doesn't replace the psn version with an updated one.

Stupid Gamespot gave me more money on my returns if I put 5 bucks down on a game and I choose Theif. Supposedly, I don't have to buy it & I won't lose my deposit if I don't get Theif, but do I trust those A- Holes?!

Game looks like smelly ass butts. No thanks. I have DLC for Dishonored* if I want to play that sort of a thing.

*note to self, put the DLC on your mental game queue.

It looks okay but not $60 okay. Same with that new Castlevania game and I should probably finish the first one (and some of my backlog) before buying that one.

Yeah, something about playing as Dracula in a Castlevania game rubs me in all the wrong ways.

goddammit, I typed out a bunch of stuff about DmC and was logged out when I went to submit. not doing that again, so highlights:

- liked the combat more than GOW3 and Lords of Shadow. they do a good job of encouraging you to use your entire repertoire and the combat just feels incredibly fluid.

- story was always pretty dumb, but the level design and boss fights kept me moving forward. the third boss was so fucking disgusting... "suck me in, baby" Final boss was really fun and a good test of skill without being ridiculously frustrating.

- I want to try the mode where you die in one hit, but it's dumb that they lock it behind ANOTHER unlockable difficulty level. my backlog is too big right now, so I'll have to pass for now.

- only part where I got bored was mission 16, I think it was. the seemingly never-ending level in the corporate building. other than that, I thought the game had excellent pacing.

definitely worth playing overall, definitely not deserving of all the hate it got. I think it's time for Vanquish now.... or maybe Brothers or Journey. so many games...

i thought the combat in Lords of Shadow was like one notch above total fucking garbage. there was NOTHING satisfying about swishing that whip around. the rest of the game kind of made up for it, but it had to have just about the least satisfying combat of all that style of games

the most damning thing I can say about LoS's combat is the only thing I remember about it is the meters... that's it. and it sounds like combat is the BEST part of LoS2
