Re: Damon Lindelof's Watchmen
IT FUCKING RULES
I don't care if this ends on some LOST "we have no ending" bullshit. This ride has been worth anything.
I'm saying this as someone who went in with a piss-face grimace, too - the leadup had me pretty convinced it was gonna be a bunch of shallow woke trash. Jimmy was wrong, show is right.

Re: Damon Lindelof's Watchmen
totally fucking loved the whole season... last episode was a tiny bit anticlimactic, because I guess I already knew what was going to happen. Maybe that's on purpose, so I can empathize with Dr Manhattan.
The racist nerd internet is really angry at this show btw.

The movie doesn't touch on this.
This spells it out pretty well...

Rotschach is dead in this. Rotchahach was essentially the Pubisher. All those “Skulls” you see on bumper” stickers.Necrophilic Mallard wrote: ↑Sun Dec 22, 2019 4:08 pmMostly I've just seen dorks pissed that Rorschach is an idol of white supremacists.Eight Bit Alien wrote: ↑Sun Dec 22, 2019 1:31 pm The racist nerd internet is really angry at this show btw.

Re: Damon Lindelof's Watchmen
The fact that Rorschach is perceived this way now is by far the worst thing about the movie. And people wonder why I hate Zack Snyder so much. In the comic he's basically a homeless freak with delusions of grandeur, and the point of his suicide at the end is that the "vigilante superhero" world-view is completely untenable.
Bumper stickers ruin everything, man.

read the comic aloud with my wife (we did voices) over the last six months just so we could watch this show without it spoiling the original
