Dude everyone is saying MK21 is either a 8/10 or a 2/10 and I dont know who to trust. They threw the first few minutes up on Youtube and it looked surprisingly good.

Re: Latest movie you watched (1-10 scale)
the last blockbuster - 6.5/10. interesting enough but do we really need to be nostalgic about EVERYTHING? im glad i grew up when i did but fuck i dont need some asshole telling me about how waiting to download a picture of a girl shitting the tub took a few minutes and how excited him and his retarded cousin that was into the spice girls just a little too much than a 14 year old male should be got when they found the file and spent 5 minutes discussing before just really getting a picture of a girl shitting the tub and realizing in that 5 minutes they could have shit the tub and took pics themselves and then THEY were the stars. nostalgia is bullshit. that being said, ive drove past the last blockbuster and i was really bummed i didnt get a selfie in front of it

It's how that shitty 1995 movie should have been made. Reptile isn't some weird puppet, Scorpion gets proper respect, and Goro does more than climb a mountain and get punched in the balls. Plus it's got Joe Taslim. However, Sonya Blade is just as annoying. Goofy and fun. Not as bad as Ski School. 6/10Eight Bit Alien wrote: ↑Wed Apr 28, 2021 11:13 pm Dude everyone is saying MK21 is either a 8/10 or a 2/10 and I dont know who to trust. One of my favorite parts is in the beginning when one dude is talking in Japanese and the other dude is talking in Cantonese and they can't understand each other.

Occasionally too paced for pacing's sake, and Canada's version of a hard luck town is too silly to be taken all that seriously

Just saw this tonight. Agree about the pacing. Really really liked the ending and characters though, would easily reccomend it to patient friends.Toilet Fleet wrote: ↑Fri Apr 30, 2021 9:18 am The Kid Detective - 7.5/10

Dont think the gf enjoyed it as much. Sometimes she does this weird thing where she goes completely silent after a movie and gives one word answers to everything, but isn't mad in any way. Drives me insane. If i ask she just goes "I can't think of anything to say".

HYPED for Kamandi - https://www.forbes.com/sites/robsalkowi ... 79213e8e13
It is definitely time for DC to raise the bar on their stale animation game and get more comic book art styles into the rendering. This new Justice Society movie doesn't look much different than what they've been doing for the last 25 years. 4/10, but will add a point or two for being the vehicle for the Kamandi short and a new Kirby style.
...can't find a sneak peek anywhere, got to wait for the bluray to drop.In under 10 minutes, Kamandi captures the breezy, high-concept goofiness of the comic and lovingly reproduces Kirby and inker Bruce Berry’s drawing style down to the last jot and squiggle. If you’re watching in full 4K Ultra HD, you can not only see the subtle transparency of the ink on the paper, you can practically smell Kirby’s cigar smoke wafting off of each frame.

The movie pretty much tells you it's an overblown Saturday morning cartoon from the get go, so you have a choice to submit to it's stupidity from the start. Much better than the fucking agonizingly terrible KotM but not as cool as 2014.

From an empirical viewpoint, the problem with Free Will (and causality) is reconciling determinism and freedom to make sense of morality.

Not as good as Nice Dreams but a solid first start. Stacy Keach is so underrated in these flicks.

Generic thriller on all fronts. Everything's on auto pilot. You know how a lot of heavily cliched flicks feel warm in their familiarity? Like eating a piece of candy you loved as a kid. This one is like eating a slice of Sbarro's pizza at a bland rest stop in the middle of nowhere. Just cold, factory made slop.
