Ebola Syndrome - 7.5/10
Haha oh man. This has so much sleaze and entertaining bullshit in it it's amazing. Second half could have been a bit tighter, but the finale has Anthony Wong rampaging through the streets of Hongkong, spitting blood on people to infect them with Ebola, getting set on fire and then getting run over while still being on fire. The 90s sure were a wild time in Hongkong.

Goliathan (1977) - 5/10
Shitty actors, SFX, dialogue, and an attractive lady whose left nipple is hanging out of her ridiculous prehistoric fur bra all the time. Slept through the second half of the movie, but judging from the first half, it's campy fun if you're in the mood, which I wasn't.
Vampires 7/10
Good Carpenter flick. James Woods is pretty bad ass. Some of the music didn't really fit the mood of the film IMHO, which is remarkable since music is often great in Carpenter's films.
Imprint 8/10
This is from a time when Takashi Miike still pushed boundaries. Really uncomfortable torture scene and nihilistic tone throughout.

Re: Latest movie you watched (1-10 scale)
Skiptrace ('16) 4/10 - Johnny Knoxville and Jackie Chan did a Midnight Run type movie that I stumbled across. It's full of clichés and other standard bullshit, but there's something off about it. I'd guess it's the Chinese/HK production companies doing their best Hollywood impersonation. Jackie Chan does an embarrassing musical number for a native Mongolian tribe that I had to fast forward through. I was entertained, mostly.
Really Weird Tales ('87) 6/10 - SCTV alums put together a Twilight Zone type anthology for HBO. Lots of recognizable faces, including John Candy, Martin Short, and Joe Flaherty. Best segment stars Catherine O'Hare as a girl with a curse: Anyone she loves explodes. Typical SCTV type goofiness all around.

Metal Lords - a tenuous 7? Better than Lords of Chaos, anyway. Joe Manganiello had the best character. Tom Morello appearing as a metal god could only have happened because he was an executive producer, I imagine. Halford FTW.
