Should I carelessly expose my child to death metal movies

Post by Eight Bit Alien »

I have about 400 horror movies on VHS. I have them prominently on display because I love them.
Some of them have normal pictures on them, but other ones are women getting ripped in half, skeleton faces screaming at you, ogres fucking up sheds, monster hands, etc. Various stabbings, people dealing with big crocodile problems, one guy getting flushed down a toilet.

I also have various death metal type things lying around on shelves here and there. Lots of dracula books and other idiot-objects.

I have a kid coming in August. He'll be too young to recognize this stuff for a little while I guess, but in fairly short order he'll be at a point where I don't think he should be carelessly exposed to macabre imagery.

What did you all do with this problem? Lock all the cannibal corpse LPs in a special box somewhere? I think that's the responsible thing to do, but then I thought "it takes a villiage" and I decided to consult my local death metal community for some parenting tips.

One of my favorite things is to get them to quote from inappropriate movies....frequently one of my kids will say "what's in the boooox?"

I also taught to say parker instead of horse, and trash panda instead of raccoon.
Those lose effectivness once they start recognizing letters.
Fact #7
From an empirical viewpoint, the problem with Free Will (and causality) is reconciling determinism and freedom to make sense of morality.

Eh, I've shown my kids stupid ass shit from things like Evil dead 2, to Texas Chainsaw Massacre since they were young. Only thing that ever bothered either is the girl fears the earwig scene from Star Trek: Wraith of Khan, and the boy loathes anime. But he hates anime because his friends made him what stuff.

congrats old friend.

my mom showed me pink flamingoes, eating raul, attack of the killer tomatoes, hairspray, toxic avenger, any many other movies like this.

I turned out fine and I think all it proves is that I will never be as cool as my mom.

I think it's hilarious you're even concerned about this at all.

I have multiple kids.

Have fun with all the poop and pee and constant requirements for attention.

A lot of guys on this 99% male forum couldn't get girls to to have their kid.

Guess what, thanks to Republicans all you gotta do is poke a hole in a hooker's condom now in roughly half the states and you're on your way to parenthood.

It's true.

You can decide exactly what you want your kid to look like by shopping on Bedpage Detroit
