I soldiered through and generally enjoyed Season 2, but dropped it after one episode of S3. I think it's one of those shows that should've only been one season. They did a great job for the most part, then had nowhere to go. A lot of the appeal was contingent on mystery and the novel narrative structure, and once those were both resolved they were screwed. The 'consciousness maze' idea was barely held together with duct tape and wasn't meant to be examined too closely. I liked wondering where the park was, so having that question answered ruined the fun.

The robot revolution was fucking stupid (increasing their IQs by clicking ipads

) and the "jump through the portal into robot heaven" shit was straight out of the Matrix sequels. Returning to the split timeline shit didn't work, either - should've just shifted to an episodic format.

I agree that it stayed gorgeous throughout, though. The injun robot episode from S2 was baller from what I remember.

This season of The Boys ruled.

I loved all the hints that it was basically just MAGAs that were fans of Homelander, and then the final scene showed the bullhorn guy.

Also did with mosquito guy what Marvel couldn't do with ant man.
