I agree. It was fiendishly boring. The episode before was mostly Rick and dreadlocks humping and finding supplies.

What was everyone's technique for quitting this show? It's like a chore every week.

.... yeah, I still watch this, kinda. My wife, who got me into it, has given up entirely. I mostly just keep it on in the background.

But yeah, even that seems pointless now. Carl dying?! Haven't read the comics but even I know Carl is probably the most important character. Wtf is AMC thinking? Maybe this is a sign they're gonna wrap the show up in two seasons or something.

Trying to see these hacks come up with original storylines would probably be hilarious but goddammit I've only got so much of my life to waste.

Also that episode was fucking garbage even without the Carl stuff. Saviors inexplicably escape being surrounded by walkers (shown offscreen), basically recreate last seasons episode where they ambush the group in four different locations at the same time... christ. Oh yeah, and the garbage people AGAIN decide to help Rick, and AGAIN bail on him immediately. It's insane how much this show disrespects the intelligence AND time of its viewers. Five minutes of facial close-up montages?!?!

Glad I quit back in season 5. Should have quit after season 1. Comic sucks too.

Between the zombies falling down stairs and making a ruckus, yet not waking anyone up and just every single thing that has to do with that blonde kid (Henry?) that episode didn't even try to pretend it wasn't insulting me. You know, let's just leave an M-16 around the house. Let's just waltz right up to a building that even my 7 year old would know there will be guns in the window. Just so much stuff in this episode. So much brain dead stuff.

Episode the worst of the second half of the season. The Fear The Walking dead season trailer looks pretty damn good surprisingly

Damon Knight coined the term second-order idiot plot, "in which not merely the principals, but everybody in the whole society has to be a grade-A idiot, or the story couldn't happen."

Based on what I'm hearing, this continues to be the main storytelling device on the show since I jumped off

and the idiocy at the heart of everything is a frontier. like they challenge themselves to find the thing even the most charitable waterheaded fan/viewer would be willing to accept to see more splatter and they're still driving people away. its actually impressive

At that point is it even worth it to watch anymore, even if the only point is to see how far it can sink? I quit as soon as they introduced Negan in the season.... (6?) finally. Seems like the show has become self-aware and is purposely goading the audience...

No, it hasn't reached the point of "so bad it's good" nor Mystery Science Theater worthy... yet. For every stupid episode there are two BORING episodes. I wouldn't even title the show horror, or zombie, at this point. I'd sub-categorize all that underneath Drama.
