I can't think of an election in my lifetime where the nominee for either party ever dropped out. Even Mondale and Dukakis didn't drop out so this is extremely unlikely to happen at this late of a stage.

I honestly don't know if Trump will win. Like, he could lose horribly and I wouldn't be shocked, or he could win by a small margin like 2016 and I also wouldn't be shocked. I really have no idea what to expect because polling is irrevocably broken and I also don't know if the media narrative surrounding Biden is really going to matter much to this mysterious "undecided voter" that I don't think even exists. I have no fucking clue and I don't even know if it matters because SCOTUS is fucked already regardless and Democrats are completely spinless to do anything about it. I just am so jaded. I guess I'll vote for Biden because he's not Trump and because he'll win my state anyway but he fucking sucks and will 100% die in office during his second term. I'm tired.

Irrespective of who runs or wins, expect a shitload of news articles in late November/early December from staffers confirming Biden's cognitive decline. They need to let the election happen first, but once the next four years are set, they need to set the table for 2025 and beyond. Burning Biden is the only way to do so credibly. Note how his inner circle is being painted as basically Oops All Bidens? That way there are fewer career politicos to burn along with them. Nobody at DNC HQ gives a shit about Doctor Jill or Professor Hunter.
