Inspired by the Halloween 3 thread. This is one of my favorite 80's horror/hysteria films... it combines the fear of technology with the widely held 80's belief that not only do Satanists lurk everywhere, but drink puppy-blood as well. Any fans?

It's kind of a slow build up but the holocaust like climax is worth it.

It takes a while for things to get going like CW said but it's a decent flick. The first poster in OP totally rules.

I've been scrambling my meager little brains trying to think of more movies like this. It's not exactly a 'fear of technology' movie, but Trick or Treat relied on backmasking to deliver it's occult evil... definitely a satanic panic moment, if nothing else.

I think the 90s were way better for stuff like this, there had to be at least 12 horror movies that jumped onto the virtual reality/cyberpunk gibberish stuff between 91-95.... BRAINSCAN is one of my all-time favorites.

I know there were a TON of pre-Matrix matrix-alikes back then, but I'm trying to think of ones that struck out to be horror movies, preying on absolute ignorance about technology and basic computing....

I didn't say Clint killed the puppy, he just drank it's blood, prompting the computer to say "data incomplete... human blood needed". Am I right?
