I agree pretty much 100%. Young Magneto was and so was Shaw (Kevin Bacon? I had no idea he was in this!) Maybe it's because I haven't read the comics, but I didn't see the benefit of them recruiting a bunch of young kids when the others were more "advanced". That irritated me. Of course, that's excluding the attempted recruitment ofMooretician wrote:New X-Men: 7.5/10. Without a doubt the best of the X-Men movies but not 100% solid. Fassbender is a god damn wrecking ball of ass-kicking radness though and his presence alone makes the movie within the realm of feasibly being called fucking awesome. There were more than a couple of groan inducing moments but most of them are brief and none of them sting too bad. Most of the shit involving the kids (minus Mystique who was awesome and is so fucking painfully hot) was what knocked it down a few points but they aren't all bad. Overall, its good shit; see it.

X-men: First Class 8.5/10 - So fucking awesome in so many ways. The ending sequence in the water gave me goosebumps all throughout it was so rad. Fassbender killed it the entire movie but his set up at the beginning was brilliant. A bit slow in the middle and could probably have used more cuts but overall probably the smartest, true comic book movies in a long fucking time. Really looking forward to see where Vaughn takes the series, especially since Jackman isn't getting any younger. As said above GO FUCKING SEE IT

Re: Latest movie you watched (1-10 scale)
Super 7.5/10
Directed by James Gunn (Slither), stars Rainn Wilson who sorta loses it when his crappy wife leaves him. So he decides to become a super hero to get her back. It's basically a less mainstream version of Kickass, but a little better than that movie, I'd say. Kinda gritty at times, actually.
Had some funny moments, had some depressing moments, and some old Troma alumni considering Gunn's connections with them made for a pretty damn fun movie.

Man I want to see that so bad. Over the years I've come to appreciate Slither as the absolute classic that it is, hopefully James Gunn can keep up his shit.

new X-man 6/10 There were some okay things here but overall it was just a forgettable letdown. I am a little shocked I liked the retarded Shakespearean cartoon THOR better than this, but it's better to aim low & campy and nail it instead of shooting for the stars and making a muddled mess.

yeah, it was pretty messy. 7 tops, still really entertaining in a comic book perspective. i thought xavier was the only well-rounded part of that movie.

I really didn't have high expectations for that movie, but I was still looking forward to seeing it @ the theatre. Worse than Thor? Ouch.

X-men FC - 7.9 Magneto is so badass. That Angel chick was just dumb.
Emma Frost was excellent eye-candy. Bacon made a great Shaw.
