i'm not watching those because i think that guy was on the joe rogan podcast of which i was able to endure 3 to 6 minutes out of 3 hours. i can't even grasp how potentially unbearable the whole thing must be.
and i'm glad i'm not too smart

and so remember this
when you get into one of those interminable and irksome back and forths with someone dead set on denying science or whatever and they use that 'its just another religion' thing. think back to this golden and bejeweled faggot and try and come up with a clever response and pretend you're not thinking of him and secretly thinking your friend might be right.

Re: Black holes might be intelligent
that guy talked SO fast and was SO excited about everything. he was one of those assholes who will just toss the most ludicrous what ifs at you like "but what if humans could intentionally infect themselves with nanobots that would discover and fix all your ailments before they were even problems. we'd all be superhumans." and when you say, ok cool idea or whatever man. he takes that as a wide-eyed personal challenge and goes "WHY NOT ?! THEY'RE ALREADY CURING CANCER IN MICE WITH SIMILAR TECHNIQUES MAN YOU NEED TO READ this AND this AND this !!"

Re: Black holes might be intelligent
Television personality, filmmaker and philosopher, Jason Silva was recently described as “part Timothy Leary, part Ray Kurzweil, and part Neo from The Matrix.” Others have described Jason as “A Digital DJ, a re-vitalizer and remixer of optimism, and above all, a curator: of ideas, of inspiration, and of awe… like a trumpet player or modern-day digital Mingus, he jams, riffs and rhapsodizes through a tumbling thicket of ideas with such a sharp and vital alacrity that it can take the breath away. He’s a modern performance philosopher, reviving the vibe of Tim Leary and Buckminster Fuller and revivifying the dialogue that they started decades ago.”
“JASON SILVA isn’t your typical intellectual. He has no published books, no grey hair, and no sardonic wit. Playfully dubbed by Doug Rushcoff as the ‘Ashton Kutcher of the singularity’, Silva’s infectious enthusiasm just doesn’t seem to fit the stereotype. Perhaps he personifies something else, something new and potentially more promising, other than the intellectual establishment that he sits outside of. As the internet offers new approaches to informal learning, academia’s top-down straightacket on education is beginning to unravel. Access points like TED, BigThink, and the Khan Academy leverage people’s intrinsic passion for knowledge without requiring a lifetime of student loan debt.
Jason Silva seems to embody this new form of the post-literate intellectual. Like some kind of Ontological DJ, he recompiles the source code of western philosophy by mixing and mashing it up into a form of recombinant creativity, which elevates understanding from the dry and prosaic, to a sensual cognitive romance.”
