this was the big problem for me. i can tolerate tons of cinemas if the story they're telling is worthwhile, but U3's narrative jumps all over the place and is generally not that interesting. and it only gets worse towards the end.

i agree about stealth being really lackluster, and in retrospect, i spent way too much time just punching groups of enemies who bumrushed me by using the boring hand-to-hand prompts.

i'd say out of the 20 or so chapters, there were 5-6 that were really exciting and kept me playing. games like this need more open areas like the first part of the water/ocean sequence and a story that isn't constructed around shoehorning in a dozen unconnected locations

i'm pretty tempted. i think it's just because i have nothing better to do and i'm not poor right now though. do i really want to spend $400 to play mario?

i'll end up buying one by friday. :(
I'm buying two for Xmas presents... :|

I know I don't deserve it but I'm so wary of the rest of you these days that I just can't be sure one of you doesn't deserve it for something that happened while I wasn't looking..

I guess there's only one way to handle this.

Finished playing through Black Ops II single player. If this game didn't have a decent MP, I'd feel insanely ripped off. One of the worst, most amateurish and least polished single player campaigns ever.

I don't understand why they bother with a campaign anymore.

Yeah, I mean I guess I shouldn't have expected too much from the SP, but damnit I still love a good SP. It was so sloppy (like Gen. Briggs shooting through a wall during a cutscene...?) I was completely shocked. It looked like they didn't even bother to beta it.

fucking stupid saturn emulator wont directly load ISO files. have to use virtual drives. works with .iso files but wont work with .mdf (lol) files. the .iso files mounted to G: and the .mdf files (in a different program) mount to H: and when i try to change it it says G: is already in use and i cant change that setting. and i cant find an option in the emulator to change to H: for the default.

so only .iso ones work right now

I assume you're using Daemon Tools? Virtual drives make computers go insane sometimes.

Are you using two different programs to manage virtual drives at the same time??? I don't think that would work or is neccecary?!!?

Reviews have been less than stellar. Still, I pre-ordered it and I'm not cancelling it.

Played much Dishonored and I'm glad I did. The bridge level wasn't as great as the previous ones, but the masquerade ball made up for it. Love slowing time and triple tapping tall boys with the pistol. Shoot flaming arrows at me, will you!?

Just like every other Hitman game. Reviewers are a bunch of xasthur fans anyways. They either rush through a game, play on easy, or hold personal nerd grudges and take it out on a game.

I find the mechanics in Dishonored so fucking satisfying. Blink is a blast to use and I feel like the stealth/take down aspect of the game work really well.
I'm sort of glad I failed the whole pacifistic route. Having a blast being a serial killer. My favorite moment maybe killing a guard by wind-blasting another guard's decapitated head right into his. Another favorite past time is to choke out folks, then throwing their sleeping bodies into the ocean or off tall structures. When I re-play this again in a year or so's time, I need to fuss with the rats & possession magics, which I've ignored this play through.

You're the kind of guy who just won't stop fucking his once hot, now crackhead mom ex girlfriend. We're your friends saying "Dude. DUDE." and you're going "sure she has fucked up teeth and she sometimes has to stop to cough for a few minutes, but a blowjob's a blowjob !"

To be fair the RPS review basically confirmed my fear about the game by saying its not very blood moneyish.

In fact the whole article left me disappointed :(
if there's anybody in the world who'd be fucking unobservant enough to actually damage themselves with trap-soap I guess it'd be the guy with dialup in 2007
