This is the right wing culture war playbook. Take the tiny fraction of questionable circumstances and blow it up to seem like a monstrous threat. Then all the retirees, bigots, and other fear-eaters spread these links far and wide on facebook, twitter, podcasts, etc - often times only reading the sensationalist headlines designed for clickbait. At that point, the truth will rarely catch up to the disinfo's wide spread and 6 other stories are making the rounds. Conspiracy is a big business now, and 99% of the time they focus on children - because only a monster wouldn't want to protect the children! Every enemy of the right are quickly labelled as pedophiles: Teachers, Democrats, LGBTQ+, Immigrants, Jews/Hollywood elite, etc.

That dust up at Glendale, CA schools where Proud boys and Moms for Liberty supporters fought parents in the streets is going to be more common. People take these so-called "threats" against children so seriously that they go to school district meetings when they 1) don't live in the area and 2) don't have kids going to the school.

I agree with you to a certain extent. At the same time, I think that categorizing information as left-wing or right-wing is a filtration system that some people use to protect their belief systems from the threat of reassessment.

If not, he's unwittingly carrying water for them. Most of the shit he posts make the rounds in right-wing circles, even if it's articles posted by credible sources. He's also just flooding links, seemingly uncritically, without posting any context so you can't tell where he stands. It's not uncommon in places where they recruit for extremists under the guise of "just asking questions." If they say they're right wingers, it immediately turns people off - but if you guide people and let them think they're coming to conclusions on their own, then you've got a convert.

Take a headline, then search for that headline on twitter or facebook and count how many people with patriot in their bio are sharing that article. That won't tell you anything about the article itself per say, but you'll get an idea of who's pushing it.
