If there was ANY power on the left, not only would the student loan forgiveness have passed, but Roe v Wade would have been codified long ago, Medicare for All would exist, and the goddamn MINIMUM WAGE would be a living wage instead of less than $8.00 an hour. Walmart employees wouldn't need to collect welfare from our taxes in order to survive, while all their profits are siphoned up to shareholders. Climate change would have been taken seriously decades ago.

Seems pretty clear to me that Thor and James would rather keep eating up those deep state conspiracies that are pushed by right wing think tanks (funded by rightwing billionaires). I get it, it's pretty damn boring to read about tracing funding from tax disclosures, advertising buys, etc, to see how christofascist and other propaganda is making it's way into their facebook feeds, media outlets, and influencing politicians. Coming to terms with the idea that much of the cultural outrage is manufactured in service of keeping fossil fuels burning is a tough pill to swallow, and it's not nearly as fun as the juicy satanic stories being pushed about the leftist agenda. The actual leftist agenda of healthcare, living wages, women's rights, infrastructure, climate change, is admittedly dull. Who has time for nuance, give 'em that that sweet, sweet OTHERING of transpeople, immigrants, jews, POC, etc.

Anyway, if anyone is interested in actual reporting, THE SOUND OF FREEDOM movie is the subject of the latest QAnon Anonymous podcast who have been following it for the past 5 years - - and it's pretty goddamn insane. Angel studios who produced the flick was originally a media company that took Hollywood movies, edited out all the offensive-to-mormans content and streamed it - all without the consent of the studios who owned it. Once that was sued out of existence, they formed Angel Studios and bought the movie from Disney, who had it shelved for years. The subject of the story, Tim Ballard, is a Mormon evangelist who kinda caters to the QAnon / Conspiracy audience. He postures his group Operation Underground Railroad as a single light in the fight against child trafficking, but some of his tactics could be actually creating a demand for it. They also have virtually no kind of support system for the people they free.

Dave Anthony from The Dollop was asked to watch the movie and discuss with them, which is pretty funny.
