Is Pussy Planet a rip off of Rape Me or vice versa? AMBD was out two years before In Utero but Rape Me was written years earlier and either band members could have heard old demos. Kurt's list of borrowed ideas is pretty long.

It certainly sounds similar enough that it's possible. It could just be all bone-headed riffs (the best kind of riff, honestly) all return to the same sound eventually. Riff rip off or coincidence? if only YTMND was around to compare for us! Oh, it is! Too bad everyone forgot.

Kinda like people forgot this place.

Never listened to his solo stuff past the first 2, but saw a post today describing this as his best slab of post Van Halenism, so wanted to check it out. John 5, lots of VH (and zeppelin) influence; definitely better than Skyscraper

Both Usherhouse records. I didn't realize Steve Albini recorded their first one. The second album, Flux, sounds like a ministry side project with Les Claypool on bass and someone doing a 7/10 Maynard for the vocals.
