Blair Witch (2016) - 6,5/10
That it's supposed to be found footage is not very believable, but as soon as things get going, it builds a good atmosphere and the last 15 minutes is pretty nailbiting. Could have been so much worse is what I'm saying.
They remade this? Wow. I wonder if I had forgotten or just didn’t know. It’s a one trick gimmick from the 90’s that I’m sure made good money from middle and southern Americans thinking it was real. I saw its horrendous sequel and of course the Bare Bitch Project which was better. Yeah, Blair Witch, only film I ever fell asleep in the theater for. And they remade it.
Weeeell, I thought the gimmick was ingenious, and what they did with the format was great IMO. It was definitely new and fresh, even if you didn't believe it was real found footage (same with the x-files haha... did any actual adults really think those were real cases?)

I thought you said "Blair bitch" for a moment and it reminded me of these American hero's
hahaha

My COCK: A-doodle-doo fun time play whistle. Potential chocking hazard for babies and pets.
I've already forgotten what the title is and I can't be bothered to look it up now. This movie is the "hold my beer" to the second one's "worst movie possible". And Tom Hardy seems like he's actively trying to sabotage it in every scene, he's not even trying with the accent anymore.

I’m saving this for a future airplane viewing. Seriously, I think Sony should be outlawed from making comic book movies.

Why do you waste parts of your precious lifetime on this garbage...
I was at a friend's house and we basically just sat there and made fun of it the entire time, so it was fine. The annoying part is how basically ten minutes after we were done, we realized that we both hadn't seen Everything Everywhere All At Once yet and we really should've watched that one instead of wasting our time getting pissed off at yet another terrible Sony Spider-Man-adjacent movie. Oh well.

Eh, MST2K'ing a shitty film is a good way to spend your time.
Late Night with the Devil - 8/10
Cleverly uses the fact that much of it is supposed to be scenes from a live talkshow. Great performances as well.

Beetlejuice 2: 10... minutes i made it before i decided to watch something else
There is something very wrong with that film. It’s like more than half the footage that was shot was destroyed in a fire and they had to cobble together something with what they had.
Yeah I also thought it was neither a disaster nor the boring shit I'd expected. Wasn't a particularly good film either, of course. Can we agree that Michael Keaton was great?

honestly joker sequel wasnt that bad but it really missed some critical marks doing The Thing it thought it wanted to do. in the end it felt reactive and over thought regarding thr first movies reception. more in dialogue and continuity w prior discourse than any leftover story to tell. i really kinda liked some of the diagetic(?) singing scenes a lot and from those I can get a sense where the entire idea stemmed from initially but the bigger orchestrated numbers were terribly boring and inert. they definitely didn't use my gf lady gaga very well. why not let the pop star write some fuxking songs for petes sake? 200 million is such an insane budget for what they shot
Gaga should've been more front and center. Also, making a whole sequel directly about what happened in the first one without really having an original thought or story for itself was certainly a choice. Todd Phillips is the dumb guy's idea of a smart director.
I watched a little-known movie from the 1940s called "Citizen Kane" yesterday. Never seen this before for some reason. It's... pretty good? This Orson Welles guy seems to have been an up-and-coming filmmaker at the time, I wonder what became of him.

I heard he was the voice of a cartoon robot and likes to eat frozen peas while getting hammered.
I'm an easy mark now, I tend to think everything is either 8-10 or trash
The Family (2016) - 9
Homefront (2013) - 9
DMX: Don't Try to Understand (2021)- 10
Cop Out (2010) - 8
