I've only seen Miller's Madmax films, but he just seems to be an all around fantastic director. Really looking forward to watching everything else he has done, including Happy Feet, fuck it, and maybe even that pig film.
Babe: Pig in the City is fucking insane
 ok, I'll watch it!! Right after Roadhouse...
I know you are European (my condolences by the way),but this Patrick Swayze hate is very much misplaced. Yes, many of us USA boys hated him and watching those chick movies he was in for a while because those movies are fucking stupid and boring, but it gave many woman and girls that tingle, which probably helped a dude or two in to 80's. In fact, thanks to him, I was born. Of, course, I was born in 1976. The year President Snoopy, proclaimed that he did Ghost, and that if he wasn't there, we would have had to watch Whoopie Goldberg make out with Bruce Willis' wife. Whopie Goldberg. Because I took THC two hours ago and it now hit me like a fat girls tits. Delicious, yet embarrassing.

No to Whoopie Goldberg
As a European suffering from the cruel fate of having a largely superior educational system and a life expectancy four years higher than what you degenerates in the US have, I appreciate your empathy. Let me assure you though that I don't hate Patrick Swayze at all, in fact I enjoyed his performances in Dirty Dancing and Donnie Darko. I just think he's just too girly for tough guy roles. I hope you enjoyed your trip! :pizza:

Arrival - 9.5/10 - One of the best, most unique takes on an alien invasion movie I've ever seen. Plus, a Villeneuve movie with actual heart? I'm shocked. Why Amy Adams didn't win an Oscar for this, I don't know. Renner was also great.

Passengers: (3/10) Sci-fi chick flick whose overall plot was done better by 90's Disney film Rocket Man.

I watched Wayne's World for the first time in my life yesterday, and I had the following thoughts:

- It's really weird to watch a movie that you're kind of too old for at this point, and that also feels dated
- Was there ever a time when Heavy Metal wasn't somehow about nostalgia?
- My clever "hey, remember I have a literature degree" observation is that there's probably something... clever to be said about the fact that this is a comedy about authenticity and Heavy Metal that came out at the exact time that Heavy Metal became unpopular because of its perceived lack of authenticity

The Hills Have Eyes (1977) - 8/10
Saw the rather well done remake over a decade ago, finally got around to watching the original, which is also great. Not a dull moment, and was surprised to see they gave a dog a starring role. Next up is Last House on the Left which I kinda saw 30 years ago; I got this Wes Craven DVD box set for cheap, which has the two aforementioned films plus Scream (which I didn't like at all), Mind RIpper (which is supposed to be shit) and a documentary on American horror.

I think I actually like the reboot better. The original is fine if you want a Halloween episode of Rin Tin Tin.

Oh ok... I thought the original still had some some shock value, and I thought it was not only an effective horror movie but also a well made film in general. Great sound design, too.
Have you seen (the uncut) High Tension/ Haute Tension? First film by the dude that made the Hills remake, and probably my favourite slasher.

Oh yes, I had the uncut French version on DVD before it was released in the theaters here. I liked it so much, I saw the dubbed version with my wife even though we had seen the DVD several times. Haven’t thought of it in years. I remember the female masturbation scene was something good and different for the time. I should rewatch it soon.

Honestly i would probably just fast forward through a zendaya spitroast scene to get back to the real movie. I have no interest

Maybe a dp

Sorry zendaya lovers but there's nothing there for me

I don't want to be rude or disrespectful. I just happen to personally believe that zendaya getting naked and throwing tits out wouldn't be a big deal. It would be like when a dog barks next door.

Now if someone threw zendaya down the stairs? That's a different story. I sure hope nothing like that ever happens, because again she seems like a lovely person. But simply as a rhetorical exercise, we're saying that Zendaya is playing Hermione in the new harry potter and there's a scene where she's having sex with two guys at the same time and they hurl her down a dirty flight of stairs? Yeah sure I've got time for that. Im not busy today.

But a bikini scene starring Zendaya? A regular old smooch? I'm sorry fellas, even full frontal. I'm probably (just guessing) gonna grab the clicker and apply 2x speed until the camera moves to an exterior shot of other people doing something cool like shooting cars or inventing spaghetti. I'm just not terribly invested.

On the other hand, if zendaya was getting pulverized by two giant logs swinging on ropes like on ewok planet? Now you've got my attention. I've got a minute for that. Or maybe zendaya was in a movie about ancient Egypt and the pharaoh just invented double anal for the first time? Okay sure who am I to judge. And then a crocodile pulls her to the bottom of the nile and karl sanders is down there fucking shredding and you realize zendaya is the unblessed dead, and the sun no longer sets her free? Hell man could've suprised me. Alright ya got me buddy

But to my taste zendaya isn't super interesting as an actress, definitely not bad by any stretch of the imagination. Just not someone i spend a lot of time thinking about after the movie ya know

You remember that playground equipment where it was a circular metal disc that would spin? Like kids could sit on it and it would whirl around, and you'd hold onto the handles.

If there was a new spiderman movie, which was just 140 minutes of zendaya handcuffed to one of those.... and the major conflict of the movie (man v man, man v nature, etc.) was that the wood chips were giving her splinters.... because Electro teleported her clothes onto an electricity planet...

Do you hear what I'm saying? Maybe I'm just tired of all this franchise stuff and adaptations, and what I'm considering as a refreshing alternative is violent pornography

it's a moon

forest moon is called endor, while the gas giant it orbits is also called endor (and the ewoks call it tana)
