Cobra (1987) - 7.5/10
I hadn't seen a Stallone film from the 80s in decades and was surprised to see how attractive the guy once was. Typical Cannon fare, pretty entertaining, couple of good oneliners ("You're the disease. I'm the cure")
Cage (1989) - 7/10
Pretty respectable low budget bullshit featuring The Hulk. Also, I love Reb Brown, that guy has such a hilarious voice, particulary when he is screaming or grunting during fights.

There have been rumors of an ultra violent original cut of this movie.
Can never get enough of Brian Thompson face.

I agree, he's a great villain and has an intimidating voice. An ultra violent cut, though? I was disappointed to see quite a few people getting shot in Cobra and, instead of humongous bullet holes, there were either dust clouds (not even red dust!) or nothing at all. If your film is r-rated anyway, why not have proper bullet holes like they had in Commando and John Woo's HK films?

awesome film. I haven't yet seen all of Friedkin's films, but every single one I watched was a real banger.

All the action movie actors in those films are wasted. They’re tame and boring. I saw three of those and couldn’t tell you how any are different from each other, other than one of them had Arnold, who did nothing.

The Extendables, as in the parody of The Expendables? I never knew it existed but I looked it up and it looks like an abysmal piece of shit.

That whole movie is a cocaine fever dream - but yeah, the ending is where they were grinding teeth into dust. Funny thing about the airport scene:

Looks terrible. Could have had potential if it was loaded with old comedic stars like the Expendables, but instead the cast is a bunch of jobbers :false:

The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent - 8/10 - Cage and Pascal are tremendous together. The spy/action part of the movie dragged a little but the first hour was fucking amazing. Cage rules.

I thought that the younger Cage was based on Sailor from Wild at Heart, but it was just himself around the time he was promoting that movie:

Vice Squad fucking rules, 8 Million Ways To Die and 52 Pick Up are enjoyable but not as good. None are as awesome as To Live And Die In LA
