It's a long season. Anything could happen. CC bothers me for the simple fact that he's closer in weight to me than to Jeter. Burnett could be Carl Pavano mark 2, but it's a risk i'm glad they took.
I just can't wait for them to get this season started.

no way Jeff Kent is HOF worthy. I don't see it being debateable.

It's a weak position as far as thr 90's and 00's go, but he shouldn't be rewarded for playing when there were no good second basemen.

they're not bad, and you could definitely find worse, but it seems to me he wasn't among the better second basemen really, and that's the dealbreaker to me

I agree with krud and Molester. With all due respect, Geoff, Red Sox fans as a whole are more obnoxious than Yankee fans. You can exclude yourself from that generalization, but there is no fan base (including Cardinals!) that I want to collectively punch more.

At least out here, I rarely meet Yankees fans. But I meet tons of people who seem to think that the Red Sox are the only team in baseball. There are freaking Red Sox bars in San Francisco. How infuriating is that?
