I think Arrieta has the stones to do what we both want. I'm so amped for that game. you're on my good list.
it's a new list, I just made it.

I live in Des Moines (AAA affiliate for the Cubs) and they're showing the game tomorrow night for free on the jumbotron. should be a blast.Chad wrote:I think Arrieta has the stones to do what we both want. I'm so amped for that game. you're on my good list.

Re: second wild card. if it's gone, then the playoff teams should be the top 4 clubs in each league regardless of division. even with the second wild card, I think it sucks for baseball that 2 out of the best 3 teams in MLB are going to be gone after the first round of the playoffs this year.

It was fine the way it was. I'm not sure I can get on board with top 4 each league. But it would definitely be better than this. Poor Bucs fans...Spooky Apparition wrote:I live in Des Moines (AAA affiliate for the Cubs) and they're showing the game tomorrow night for free on the jumbotron. should be a blast.Chad wrote:I think Arrieta has the stones to do what we both want. what a game. the sudden silence after Schwarber's bomb might be my favorite moment of the season so far. or maybe Arrieta coming back out after getting drilled and finishing one of the best postseason pitching performances ever. or psycho rodriguez going nuts on the cooler... hahaha.
Cards series should be amazing.

Utley deserves a fastball to the face and a suspension. filthy play. also arguably cost the Mets the game. I was neutral on this series but am pulling hard for the Mets now.
thrilled the Cubs tied the series up and are going back to Wrigley with a chance for Arrieta to put them up 2-1, but today was kind of a lucky win. Cubs executed some bunts well in the second, and obviously Soler hit a bomb, but the Cards mostly just fell apart for a while. Rizzo and Bryant have been total nonfactors so far.

the utley slide was clearly wrong...but it's also clear he felt bad for hurting tejada
twitter baseball fags make it about them driving an ''issue''
but holy fuck I have turned. I seriously can't wait for Arrietta in wrigley

last night's game was one of the best I've ever seen. it was pure buildup followed by pure tension.
I'm not a fan of either team, but I want the mets to win...I like the NL East and I'm sick of kc ballsucking.
I'd still put money on NYM...baseball is the best fucking sport.
go Mets

Re: Pisscubes/Molester's Official MLB Thread NOW WITH '11!
sucks this thread is dead (for a long, long time) when the Cubs finally make it to the World Series. I straight-up sobbed when they clinched the WS. my step dad died a few years ago, and the last thing we did together was watch the Cubs, so this hits hard. they're already down 1-0, but I don't really care if they lose the series. the last two years have been the best two years of baseball I've experienced in my life, and if it takes a third year (or fourth, or fifth) for the Cubs to win it all, I don't mind.

what was that movie where the pitcher only has one arm since losing it in an accident young and another kid also gets his arm ripped off who plays little league and the older one armed baseball guy becomes his mentor? I think it was made for tv

game 7 tomorrow night... can't believe it. both totally deserving teams. hope it's a memorable game and not a blowout.
