It is seriously hilarious. It's all apologetic and saying how they are listening to the community and then they have the gall to ask a high price for some cosmetics. I get that their servers must be crazy expensive to run and they have run mostly great for me. But fuck. Activision, Bungie and the gaming industry at its finest.

Still not sure if I should keep my expansion pre-order.

Screw it! I'm playing Batman.

Just finished the Harley Quinn thing. It wasn't too good, but got me back into the swing of combat.

Maybe I should start the Harley Thing.

This fucking stupid ass batmobile thing isn't pissing you off? Am I just hyper-sensitive to it?

Spent most of my intro period to the game in the fucking thing and then I finally get a big infiltration mission that I think I'm going to be able to sneak around and knock guys off. I get to my very first rescue subject and it's "I'VE GOT TO GET THE BATMOBILE IN HERE" and I'm fucking BACK in the car fighting tanks. Finish that, scale the walls, fly to my next victim and rescue and before I can get into where he is... "I'M GOING TO NEED THE BATMOBILE TO OPEN THIS UP."

FUCK YO BATMOBILE, NIGGA.

I DON'T WANT TO PLAY A GODDAMN TANK GAME. I WANT TO BE BATMAN.

Harley DLC is super short, but it was free so whatever. The Batmobile has not really bothered me as of yet. Sometimes it's fun, but I did hate the first Riddler race course, so I doubt I'll be doing too much of his shit. Anyhow, I've mostly been dicking around beating the piss out of people. Furthest I've gotten was the Clock Tower that had excellent Adam West and Animated Series Easter Eggs.

I haven't read any spoilers, but based on some thug conversations & Scarecrow ramblings I think I know who that evil Batman is going to be.

i preorder collectors editions if they are in limited supply but im not really sure why anyone would preorder a regular edition of anything

I still preorder here and there for a game I know I'll like because of preloading and all the bonus shit you get from the preorder. Since you can refund it on steam, preordering is actually not a bad idea at all, now.

Yep. I've also gotten free games by pre-ordering (some of which I've passed on to people here) and gotten games on release for 25 to 40% off. Pre-ordering is fine and refunds on Steam is great and has been a long time coming. A major publisher pulling a huge title like AK off the Steam store until it's fixed is a step in the right direction and probably wouldn't have happened if refunds weren't an option on Steam. I've only been burned a handful of times by disappointing / broken pre-ordered games. If $30-60 was that important to me, I'd choose a much cheaper hobby.

It is fascinating to see how far a company can push their fanbase. Smart, educated people who make a lot of money are making some very, very dumb decisions. The Red Bull stuff has to be Activision's decision but Bungie themselves have always taken on step forward, two steps back with this game.
