I actually installed RE5 on my PC because the stuff I've been seeing about the RE4 remake reminded me how I went full-blown autism with 5 in 2009 when I got my PS3. It's a pretty weird game to play now. I sort of remember why I liked it, but jeezus is it clunky.
It also helped back then that I'd never played 4 because I skipped over the PS2.
I never finished 5. I think I didn’t like how it got too action gamey. I stopped at a part where I was fighting flying bugs.
Are they going to remake 5, you think? Are they going to remake 6?!?

I've been wondering the same thing, but everyone hated those two, so I doubt it. I don't think I would've liked 5 if it hadn't been my first RE game since, uh, the first one.

I've been watching Alien movies lately, so I installed Colonial Marines again. I bought this on Steam around the time when it was new, but I never really played it. It runs flawlessly now and if you've just watched Aliens, it's reasonably amusing how devoted it is to that movie in every possible way. I don't really remember why people thought it was the worst game ever at the time - it just isn't very good. The Xenomorphs move way too fast and it's almost always hard to see them, so it gets frustrating and annoying really quickly.

This game is the reason I stopped pre-ordering games. It actually disenfranchised enough that I started to look back into PC gaming because I decided modern games are getting more and more boring and sloppy that I’d rather go back to my early 2K shooters. There’s a mod that fixes a ton more stuff. I tried to a few years ago. I still uninstalled the game soon after.

I played through Inscryption, which was great. Nice to play a game that isn't straightforward or predictable, even though it centers around card playing mechanics. Between this, Snap, and Slay the Spire, it seems like I'm a card game guy now.
