I got my Steam Deck a few weeks ago.

I think I've spent 90% of the time playing Binding of Isaac Repentance on it.

Im with you there. I almost entirely use kb/m on PC. For what it's worth the gamepad feels really nice on it.

I mean if you wanted to go all out your could always carry a keyboard and mouse along with it.

I only use M/KB for FPSers (or 3rd that control like 1st) pre-Call of Duty Modern Warfare. After that I can’t stand using M/KB and iron sights together. So, these new “Boomer Shooters” that don’t use iron sights and that jazz are a welcome return to the mouse.

Yes, sir. That trailer was remade from the leaked version. Hopefully a bunch of nerds can do something and release it in a proper form.

Hell yeah dude. I've got a few windows 98 and xp machines lying around the basement, been thinking of trying to get the leaked version running native on one of em.

From what ive seen the thing is a bit rough and unfinished but itd still be a trip.

Half-Life’s influence is strong, but that’s a good thing.

Was playing a series of Half-Life mods called Time Line. Time traveling & multiverse shenanigans with Nazis. The dude put a lot of work into it, although his take on real places like London Bridge and the Statue of Liberty is akin to a little kid with blocks. He has issues with too many enemy types at once and not enough ammo. Unfortunately, I hit a glitch and a door that needs to open won’t. So that was an exhausting waste of time. Deleted! And now I need a long break before I do another mod.

I really don’t know what I should play next.

Evil Dead fucking rules!

I'm not sure how longevity will be, it's the same thing over and over - I'd really appreciate more variety on the maps. I've been having a blast though, can't stop playing it.

I bought Ghostwire: Tokyo. Was on sale and then Epic gave me an additional 25% off. Um, I like it so far. It’s very Japanese. Not anime, or weird fetish shit, but Japan Japanese. In a way, it reminds me of the Yakuza games.

I wonder why, but I don’t care for Duke Nukem 3D nor Quake as I once did. Maybe they are too antiquated compared to Half-Life, but I did not enjoy my recent time with them.

FEAR on the other hand is fine wine indeed. Especially now that I found a texture pack for it.

Stopped playing Ghostwire. Eh, It lost its flavor pretty fast. Too much scavenger hunting. Combat got redundant and boring quickly. Too much Preaching about how Tokyo was better before millennial type waiz ( and it’s probably right, but it has that old man complaining vibe, not millennials are fags vibe). Too much lecturing on the history of Japanese things & words. We’ve reached the point in time were a grandfather could have been a tremendous nerd, and this feels like it was made by one.

Been playing a modded version of Blood 2. I have a brilliant time with it. The mod (called Dark Act) improves on the messy vanilla game. Unfortunately, it crashes alot. Crashes hard! Like, you need to restart the whole PC hard. So, I can’t play it much.

So, the real main event has been Castlevania: Symphony of the Night again. But this time I found a Rom hack that plays the game in real widescreen, not just emulator streched. The game is harder for it, as enemies now see and react from further away. It’s awesome, though.

Going on a lengthy summer vacation soon. When I get back I might play the Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall Unity edition, which is free and fully pre-modded on GOG right now:

Beat SOTN, started Silent Hill 1, but a very long vacation looms neigh, and I don't want to rush something like that. No, no, no damn good. So I restarted DOOM 3, again. I'll just play this, and if I finish, I finish, if not, it's not like I haven't beaten it before, and not a big deal if i don't continue on after my return.

I did get Postal: Brain Damage on sale and on a whim. This is probably super secret best game I've played in a long time, but didn't play it that much to recommend. YET!

Anyhow, probably won't write video game nonsense again till September, have a good summer, everybody.

I decided to pull out the PS3 and Vita and mod them. I threw a 1TB in the PS3 and a 256GB card in the Vita. Both are super easy to hack and oddly enough th easiest place to get games is this thing called No Pay Station. It's literally just downloading the files directly from Sony's servers. Obviously they take a bit of messing with to get to work, but I feel like this was probably a really big reason they were going to shut those stores down earlier in the year. All the games and DLC are just straight up on there.

I forget how long it takes for the PS3 to install games though. That shit is like 20+ minutes for a "big" game.

I started playing Yakuza: Like a Dragon last weekend. I typically hate games where I'm waiting for cutscenes to play out so I can play the damn game. This feels like it's 90% cutscenes, and I am absolutely addicted to it.

Playing Sekiro. Up to the second last boss. Can't believe I made it this far. If I beat it, it will have to be the hardest game I've ever beaten. It's definitely harder than Dark Souls
