Really bummed that Phrenelith couldn't make it. Cerebral Rot is a good last minute substitute but because of the way Saint Vitus' layout bottlenecks in the middle, it prevented me from staying for their whole set. I waited outside the venue to empty so I could go upfront for Dead Congregation. They're worth missing the other bands to have a good spot. This is how you do it. Even though the drummer was struggling, they're still the best current Death Metal band.

edit: Both Blood Incantation and Dead Congregation toured together in Australia. And it reminded of what my friend said about a fantasy Black Metal tour package was: Cradle of Filth and Emperor. Dead Congregation is the Emperor of that Australian tour package.

the sound on this was taken directly from the soundboard and eq'ed:
saw DC tonight and it was great - glad I dragged my ass there. it was in a tiny club and yesterday I realized it was sold out... I went there anyway and just walked in :betternotstartanyshit:

drummer seemed to be doing fine! the place was packed & rowdy, and it wasn't so loud that I needed earplugs the whole time. one of the best mixes I've heard at a metal show in a while. these guys rule.

Not sure if it's just my earbuds and/or treadmill endorphins, but this new Pyrexia, System of the Animal 25, sounds fucking awesome too.

I am skeptical but hopeful that Tomi Koivusaari's solo record with the absolutely best name ever BJORKO is good. Jeff Walker sings on the first track released, but Tomi has some of the best vocals and it would be cool to hear them again. Jeff is no slouch though.

i listened to the 1st minute, i can't. sorry. i hate everything about it. singer sucks, music sucks and Flo sucks for riding this dead horse.

Fuck Flo and fuck this "on-the-cob" group of Affliction/Ed Hardy/Frosted Tip dildos.

Just listen to anything Antimo puts out cuz it's always consistent.
