I finally got around to listening to this and I must say it's really, really good. There's a hardcore vibe throughout the whole thing. The Seventh Son wrote:I forgot if it's been discussed, but that Flourishing album is awesome.

Yeah. The shouting vocals threw me off A LOT at first, but I got over it and even like them a bit. His br00tuhlz are a good mix of Chuck/Tardy/Lemay/Paul Miller. That bass tone...my god(flesh)...Honky Kong 64 wrote:I finally got around to listening to this and I must say it's really, really good. I really like what I've heard from these guys so far.hereinafter96 wrote:Dephosphorus - Axiom

Flourishing has some potential, but their melodic passages are really weak. I think they overuse that whole sustained-chords-overtop-of-blasting thing, too. For a band that I've seen compared to Gorguts a bunch, I was expecting something a lot more interesting.

1996 ain't exactly new, but this is new to me! Paulo should be happy to see this posted since anything to do with Iniquity makes him sail full mast. For a second I got the name confused with Swallowed and thought they changed their logo again.Cascade Whore wrote:>http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2sXOfAcI ... re=related<

That's a lot better than I would expect out of a track with Big Chocolate on it.

Re: Any good new death metal out there?
I saw that only 1 of the 3 tracks from this demo was on Youtube, so I posted the remaining 2 a few weeks ago. It's too good not to be heard.pooptastik wrote:The Seventh Son wrote:1996 ain't exactly new, but this is new to me! Re: Any good new death metal out there?
Has the new Desecravity (Willowtip) been mentioned yet?
couple other new ones that got my attention are Parasitized (UK) and Nocturnal Torment (US)
sorry if they've been mentioned already
or if you want some new/old stuff the Swedish retro movement has killer releases like Revel in Flesh, Funeral Whore, Massive Assault and Blood Mortized coming up.
k thats my post for the year
