There's a vintage guitar store in my city that has a gorgeous black rickenbacker reissue on sale for 2K. I was sort of planning to go over this weekend and dick around with it and some lucky asshole bought it, says the website.......

Don't they list for less than that new? The bass player in my band bought one of Erba's old ones for under $1500, I think.

Sweet, I was about to ask you about that store... I stopped in there four years ago and rocked a modded red Marshall at high volume for a bit. Sounded goddamned amazing.

i have an rg7321, which is a ~$400 7 string and i friggin love it. ibanez are some of the most playable instruments ever

Travis Bean. They only made guitars for a few years in the 70s. Duane Denison played one too.

Travis Bean. They only made guitars for a few years in the 70s. Duane Denison played one too.

bassist of my old band had the bass version of this, also from the 70s. thing fucking SLAYED. i heard the guy had a few thousand more reissued in the early 00's.

I have one. My first guitar, got it from my uncle and I still have it. Mine is a different year, different pick up switches and all blonde. They don't sell for much usually, but they play great.

for the travis bean fans: the EGC guitars i was talking about are modern day replicas/unofficial reissues of them. they run about 2-3k and you can actually buy them...

i've loved aluminum guitars since i played one when i was 13.
