All cultures have their own succulent and historical take on bread. The mum-in-law hooked us up with some fry bread on the weekend. Usually, the bannock I eat is baked, but when mum hooks us up with fried bannock, well it's just WIOT, IMO.



I have heard of old timers dipping their bannocks in bacon grease, lard, ketchup and all kinds of fucking horrid things. I thought of spreading some local blueberry jam on mine but I think I'll ust eat it as is.

There used to be an Indian place in town that sold two things, Indian tacos and fry bread. Stuff was awesome. Long gone now though.

I just hope you never had the misfortune of running across the "chippewa dog". I've even seen mexi-skins put eggs and beans on their frybread before. People do some strange things with their bread. If it's still warm I like to put honey on mine.
