I watching this show on the Food Network the other day.....some italian dude.....he made some fried bread that I think I'm going to attempt to make sometime soon. It looked super light, but good and greasy just waiting for some honey to be dripped on it. Can't remember the show.

"Bonnock" is what - a metis word? I once had a little lakota woman who cooked the most amazing frybread. It was almost light and fluffy somehow. Every time I get a good whif of grease I get nostalgic. I saw my aunties at the tribal college and one bought me a frybread taco and the other bought me a "chippawa" dog. I haven't been doing the meat thing lately but i'm not about to shoot down a gift from the ol' ladies, even if I have to endure a chippawa dog.

I see nothing wrong with this. They can be used for both savory and sweet things. They are one of lifes greatest delivery tools
