Does Janis Joplin count? Her voice is unusual but its not outright outlandish I guess. I've been a big fan of her voice since I was a kid....

I actually rather like Geddy Lee and James LaBries vocals as well,I know those are two who get quite a bit of hate.

fuck yes. Upsidedown Cross, Kilslug and Larry Lifeless in general are very underrated. his work in Kilslug alone makes Flipper sound like The Partridge Family.

Her (fraser) voice isn't really strange though or maybe it is. But I didn't list her because I figure everyone love her singing and it's not really a "tough sell" like Tibet (or whatever the fuck he calls himself based on his current incarnation ...yaaaaawn) or Antony.

Not tough like - Mosechi or even Groucho - his nasal voice is bad - but I love to hear Groucho sing.
