Slayer & Atari Teenage Riot - No remorse (I wanna die) from the Spawn soundtrack
Roadrunners - Couteau naïf
Noir Désir - Un jour en France
No One Is Innocent - Nomenklatura (the french Ministry)

Silmarils - Cours vite
Foo Fighters - This is a call + Home alone/Easy target
Mad Pop X - Pop

Let's see...for me that would be 1986. I'm thinking of a certain mixtape that was a combination of shit I needed to learn for my band and stuff I taped off of the radio:

AC/DC-TNT
Vinnie Vincent-Boyz Are Gonna Rock
Metallica-Seek & Destroy, 4 Horsemen
Alice Cooper- Ballad Of Dwight Frye, Is It My Body
WASP- I Wanna Be Somebody, Sleeping In The Fire
Kiss-Fits Like A Glove
Iron Maiden- Run To The hills
Poison- Talk Dirty To Me
Fastway- Say What You Will
Aerosmith- Toys In The Attic
Cinderella- Shake Me
Rough Cutt- Piece 'o My Heart

It seems like I'm forgetting a couple of tracks, but this is bad enough...haha.

96/97

My mixtape would've been nothing but RATM, Deftones, MxPx, Dr. Dre and NWA. Maybe a Tool song too. My music tastes SUUUUUUUUUUUCKED then.

when I was 15, I was recording stuff off college radio, and I didn't know what the majority of it was, because a lot of times there was no DJ, or I'd fall asleep and the tape would stop before the DJ said anything

Minutemen - no one (though, I didn't know it was them at the time)
Nirvana - tourettes (would you beleive I didn't know that was them either? I didn't buy in utero until sometime in 96)
Atari Teenage Riot - start the riot
Green Jelly - fight
Brainiac - i am a cracked machine
Sonic Youth - schizophrenia
Smashing Pumpkins - tales of a scorched earth
Girls Against Boys - cash machine
a Polvo song. . .likely "can i ride'
Melvins cover of lexicon devil
the Business - panic (Smiths cover)
Napalm Death - more than meets the eye
a song that turned out to be "milk and misery" by Rodan
a song that turned out to be "the sad punk" by the Pixies. . . .but I thought it was the Melvins when I heard it
"only shallow" by My Bloody Valentine
"world cup fever" by Air Miami
a song that turned out to be "mizake the mizan" by Cocteau Twins . . .which would probably be the closer

'93/'94

Metallica-Am I Evil/Metal Militia
Slayer-Kill Again/Postmortem/Mandatory Suicide
Sepultura- Desperate Cry/Mass Hippy nosis
Overkill- Anything off of Horrorscope/ Who tends the fire
Kreator- Coma of Souls
Nirvana- Anything off of Bleach
Exodus- And Then there were none/ Verbal Razors
Megadeth- Tornado of Souls
Nuclear Assault- Stranded in Hell/ F#/ Madness Descends

Completely hated all "grunge" except for Nirvana. I like a lot of the shit I hated back then though.
A lot more to add, but that's what I remember being completely consumed by back then.

I think thats awesome when you hear a song or have it recorded like that at an early age and down the road you finally discover what it is,
I used to listen to the collage radio here too when I was younger, (which later on I went on to DJ at myself) ...anyhow I would record some of their underground Metal shows (Radio Nightmares was its name), a lot of times just using the same tape over and over again, well there was this one song that I had on tape and I couldn't figure out for the life of me what it was - the tape cut right before I got the DJs playlist rundown, it was a Thrash Metal tune w/funny tuff lyrics like MOD but it wasn't MOD, well years later I finally discovered it was this:
