Capt (name don't worry about it),

SrA (name don't worry about it) showed up to this appointment that Ms. fat ass scheduled without notifying SrA (name don't worry about it) ahead of time only for SrA (name don't worry about it) to find out there was no need for her to be there at all. I have an issue with this for two reasons. First, I am pretty sure Ms. fat ass does not have the authority to schedule people for appointments without notifying them first hand. Instead she scheduled, then shot an e-mail to TSgt (name don't worry about it) to track down and make sure she knew. Second, SrA (name don't worry about it) said that the (specific office) knew nothing about this and stated he actually hadn't even been at work the last two weeks. Can we make sure this does not happen again in the future and make sure Ms. fat ass knows her place in life before I chew her ass in front of everyone in the office?

sweaty is at an all-day meeting about fundraising for this futuristic science institute, and right now the people in charge of scamming money from donors are making a plot of disruption vs. synergy

Firstly, LinkedIn is a networking platform and people like to network with those they know, like and trust, making an emotional connection so I would encourage you to look for ways to leverage this contact from your network that is congruent with your personal brand.

how about when you're asked to mark your availability for some meeting, and there's like a thousand slots and you're available for ALL of them - I feel like a loser to check all the boxes so sometimes I just leave a few blank for the hell of it, typically ones that are too early in the morning (which ironically is a pretty lazy/losery thing to do, fulfilling the prophecy)

does anyone else have a moment of sartrean anguish before sending a work email of even minor consequence, where you know there might be a typo or fuck-up or missing attachment or accidental reply-all or errant CC or misspelled name or other gaffe... and instead of searching for any of those things you just say to yourself fuck it and hit "send"?

^ at first glance I thought this guy was trashing sartre, but he's actually a critic of the capitalism/technology intersection

The acquisition further bolsters our pipeline and is an important step forward toward our goal of a multi-franchise portfolio across complementary modalities.

without the benefit of context, I assumed that quote was about AI or computer-logic... like programmed/RNG output = fatal, unlike the anguished but choice-filled human life of googly-eyed robot Sartre (pictured below)

good ol' robo-sartre

did you read my thing in the dystopia thread about HOW the humans will be subjugated by AI? near the top of page 14 in case loading fails

there's nothing earth-shatteringly novel in there (I think the blandness makes it more horrifying/threatening) but it's haunted me since it clicked that it was inevitable
