I’ve never really listened to Cannibal Corpse’s “Vile” until now and was kind or random skipping though songs off it today. Holy shit, they must have been listening to a lot of Terrorizer, both “Mummified In Barbed Wire” and “Disfigured” use the whiplashing skank riff from “After World Obliteration” I wonder how many more times it gets recycled though the album.

Definitely similarities to both of those but when that Cathedral riff hit I immediately thought "oh THAT'S why I knew it sounded familiar". Oh well. It's a different key and at a different point in the song so I won't sweat it. Not like these songs are going anywhere anyway.

Look guys, I don’t normally listen to Jungle Rot. I just wanted something generic sounding for background noise and they were the first band I thought of. It’s kind of amazing they are basically identical to Six Feet Under but nowhere near as huge just because their singer isn’t named Chris Barnes.

It’s a bit of a stretch but Matando güeros kind of sounds like Assuck’s “Page By Page”

I was listening to Bullhead, when “It’s Shoved” came on I notice the drum beat is reminiscent of “Down On The Street” (although a similar drum beat isn’t exactly an amazing thing ) then I noticed the bass line sounds like Nirvana lifted for the main riff to “Milk It” and the widdly guitar part sounds like the same shit Kurt was doing in the “Love Buzz” cover. Then later the song “Cow” came on and the interlude with the feedback with bass and drum grove underneath sounds like Reznor borrowed for “March Of The Pigs”. Everything sounds like everything else or I’m probably just losing my marbles.

The drum intro to Groinoids “Flesh Island” is very similar to the intro of Helmet’s “Unsung” and also Scorn’s “Spasm”. It’s a relatively generic punk beat so it could be a coincidence.
