just found out at&t is buying t-mobile.

i ran, ran, ran from at&t when cingular bought the original at&t wireless (which had good customer service, good plans. then cingular went with the at&t name because of 'brand recognition'). i remember that transition and it was AWFUL. cingular customer service was HORRIBLE and they would not honor my plan (to extend it) and eventually, i could not get reliable service on my at&t phone. their solution? get one of their phones. would i get a discount? nope, had to pay full price. would i get to keep my plan? no, i had to get one of cingular's. with a 2 year contract. could i switch to another carrier before my original contract was finished? not without paying the early termination fees...

FUCK. i don't want to go through this again. but i also want to stay on a GSM network.

I had to take our cat today to the vet and he is most probably going to lose one eye. He had to stay there and maybe tomorrow I will know something.

And my daughter is pretty bummed about it.
