Rick & Morty season 7 - 8.5/10
Starts off strong, turns out the new voice actors are indistinguishable from the guy who was fired (Rick doesn't burp in the middle of his sentences anymore, but maybe he stopped doing that seasons ago, I don't know), bit of a slump in the middle (it's actually the first time that there was an actual bad episode, plus a bit too much of the old "making fun of TV tropes and clichées" instead of proper plot ideas), but then an extremely strong season finale that focuses a lot on the characters themselves. IMO still the best cartoon of all times.

Your Honor - Season 1 - I should've known it would be stupid because it's a Showtime show. Good acting, well-shot, but the story is so absurd. I guess 6.5/10. There's a second season but I don't even know if I want to watch it.

I skimmed… not even, I zipped through the first episode just out of curiosity. The backgrounds are all nice in the 90’s cartoon style but I don’t like how the characters look. Also female Penguin is fucking stupid.

I felt like the first two seasons were a spirited outing, and after that something started to feel off.

The problem is it started doing larger story arcs instead of wacky adventure of the day, and it started doing Family Guy-ish references to other stuff like Voltron or Hell Raiser. I still like it more than most other crap on TV. Like, unironically? Season 2 was such an incredible break-all-your-teeth-on-the-concrete faceplant, it barely registered for me when this one came out.

Don’t sure if The Kill is grading on a curve but a 9/10 on season 3 makes it seem like it’s close to season 1, which it’s not. It’s probably a strong 7. That first season hits so hard, there could be supernatural stuff or not. It could be drug fueled. It could be straight hard boiled crime drama. So grand. Season 3 had sensational leads (Mahershala Ali, whom I hadn't known before, and Stephen Dorff (and Michael Rooker turns up as well!)). The characters were interesting and multi-layered, the soundtrack and the cinematography were great, I enjoyed the mystery and the way the plot was resolved. I also like stories that focus (among else) on how we construct our realities in the form of narratives and how this relates to how our memories work. It's been a while since I watched the first season, so I can't really compare the two, but for me, despite the rather slow start, season 3 was a 9/10.
