Present TV shows are so bad that Lord help me but I’ve been watching RAW & Smackdown again and it’s been somewhat entertaining*.

I even tried AEW but that shit is dreadful now.

AEW even lost me.

haven't watched in 3 weeks.

torrented Double or Nothing for the Ospreay match and MJF promo and was like "you're not topping that".

quit the dub cold turkey in 2016. never going back.

WWE has been pretty solid since Triple H took over a few years back.

AEW is watched now only to prepare for the Cornette reviews, maybe catch a gnarly botch live

Edge was one of my favorites ever and what he's done in AEW has just been embarrassing. If you haven't seen him dive off the steel cage from this past weekend, it's so, so bad. He was clearly supposed to do a splash on the table but he panicked mid-air and tried to somehow turn and land it as an elbow drop and took all of the impact on his fucking feet, and he broke his tibia. Still got up and finished (and WON) the match, though. Because a 50 year old guy should be beating Malakai Black in a barbed wire cage match.

Man, I'm glad I have no emotional ties to anybody who is currently having their career deKhanstructed... well, except Danielson. His matches when he first came in were the only matches in wrestling at the time that I actually enjoyed watching on the merits of a wrestling match

The DeKhanstruction of AEW is going to be a great Peacock documentary in a couple of years. Danielson is one of my favorites ever but his insistence on putting over young talent and wrestling his dream matches on weekly TV really made me sour on the dude. Like, who is really tuning in to see Bryan vs. Yuji Nagata in 2023? He should've been the World Champion within a month of signing there. But TK was too busy touting that he brought CM Punk back to wrestling and kept Bryan out of the main event. Dumb, dumb, dumb.

WWE 2016 through the Covid era got worse and worse and worse. WCW 2001 and the worst of TNA was better. I stopped watching then but would still know what’s going on via Cornette or YouTube clips. I’d catch a few events like Wrestlemania because I owned the network/Peacock. Present WWE now is probably better than a lot of the Attitude Era. It’s not perfect but I can watch a three hour RAW (well, with no commercials, I don’t watch live) now and it goes fast enough.

SummerSlam 2020 is when WWE turned the corner, IMO. The first 6 months of Covid era was dogshit but once Roman came back and the Thunderdome got going it was a much better show. And AEW started getting worse around that same time. You would think the highlight of AEW would be bringing in Danielson and Adam Cole in the same night, but that's ironically when things "drastically go down" to quote Big Poppa Pump

It took awhile but the Bloodline drew me back in. I sort of followed again when Reigns was forcing the Usos to acknowledge him and he was dealing with Owens and Rollins, but it was Sami Zane getting the Bloodline to crack up on TV that got me back in, but it’s only these last few weeks I’ve actually watched both shows in mostly their entirety.

WWE's YouTube had put like a 3 hour supercut of The Bloodline moments leading up to Sami vs. Roman last year and it's fucking incredible. I was at Survivor Series - War Games 2022 and even though he was a heel, when Sami and Jey finally hugged after Sami kicked KO in the balls, the place went fucking insane. That whole story was so amazing. The Rumble chair shot when Sami finally attacked Roman was incredible too. I may need to rewatch Wrestlemania 39 Night 1 this week just to see their tag match against the Usos again.

The AEW fans were so high on Jay White coming to AEW instead of WWE. "He'll be treated as a main eventer. He won't be feuding with The Miz, he'll be a big deal." And he had ONE title match against MJF which he lost, and he's been stuck in 6-man tag hell with Billy Gunn's sons ever since. Great decision you made there, Jay! He probably took the higher paying offer, so good for him, but any time there's a "bidding war" and that person picks AEW, they're almost always in a creative hellhole within 6 months.

Jay White was always heralded as a "Great promo" in New Japan because he swore a lot and was good at backstage press conferences. A live mic in the ring in front of a live audience (if you can call the AEW crowd that) is a different story, and he's pretty shitty at that.

AEW: where the best suck

Watching BCC vs luchadores and it's so bad. Danielson's timing looks off with this fucking Mexican. Moxley is the goofiest clown show I've seen this side of Jussie Smollet. It's unbelievable he's the "leader" because he's smaller than the other bald guy. Wheelchair Yuta looks like a slightly more in shape Superhumman and nothing can ever wash him clean of that. When he fires up he looks like a retard who's afraid of his own rage.

I watched a bit of it tonight but I have to turn the channel when the Young Bucks show up, they're so fucking awful. They're basically doing the Right to Censor gimmick but worse and that was bad to begin with. The second they showed up during the Acclaimed entrance I turned the channel and never looked back. Chris Jericho was very annoying in the few minutes I saw of him. I don't know why they keep jobbing out Jay Lethal, he was the best in that four-way. I assumed Orange Cassidy would win it but he has his own feud so it makes sense.

Their backstage skits are the worst television this side of the View, and Jericho's new gimmick is the worst thing I've ever seen in wrestling.

I love Chelsea Green. Not because she’s attractive, but her facials and little mannerisms are so bizarrely great. A lot of girls want to do the insane shtick, like a Liv Morgan, Bliss, or Daffney, but it’s too forced or too Harley Quinn. Green’s bizarre weirdo hot mean girl really does a good insane… or hot bitch on drugs. Is she doing real life Sunny?
