I think the new season of I THINK YOU SHOULD LEAVE isn't very funny especially in contrast to the last one, and I interpret this as a sign of getting older.

i didn't think it was as good either

i stopped drinking (at home) because it makes it impossible to sleep through the night and that makes it too hard to get better at climbing.

In fairness, the last season was so amazing, so I can't hold it against them. There are still some A-Tier sketches (Doggy Door, Metalloid Maniac, Proposal Park).

I missed my drum throne the other day ( I wasn't even drunk!) thankfully the 4X12 cab behind me broke my fall. Old, fat, clumsy, decrepit, stupid or all of the above?

can necrometer inject some adrenochrome or something into my finger pulleys?

You can buy adrenochrome online!!!

My favorite part of the whole goofy myth - this seemingly obscure, occult chemical compound with a creepy name and a few whispered cultural references. Sounds wild right? But even a cursory google search will take you to supply company sites, where you can find it readily available and not terribly expensive.

Certainly easier than TORTURING AN ORPHAN TO DEATH IN A PIZZA BASEMENT

Sorry about your fingers! This has been the EBA story hour

travis are you having pain in/near your knuckles? (just trying to understand the pulley drama). if so, you might benefit from doing the stretch where you pull your fingers back (open your palm to the max). the issue is that any muscle that gets stronger also gets shorter, and when those long grippy muscles (that run from your fingertips to your elbow) get too short, they put tension on your pulleys. stretching them out might relieve that tension. sorry if this is old news… good luck

and go ahead and inject your own wish.com adrenochrome

I had Covid for the first time last month (that I'm aware of) other than muscle aches it was pretty mild but I'd already had a billion booster shots.

Maybe the trick is just to pick one organ system to pulverize at the expense of all others? Like two extra strength acetaminophen every day is obviously bad for my liver, but maybe who cares about that gay retard body part?? I dunno im not committed yet

stem cells are largely bogus atm sorry

along with the stretch i described, your sweaty could roll out your forearm

i also endorse temperature cycling for any musculoskeletal woe - when you go from room temp to cold & back (or from neutral to warm & back) it promotes blood flow in/through tissues that have atrocious circulation by default

non-hippie, but in my experience naproxen (alleve) works especially well to address join pain/inflammation

good luck

as much as it helps, that shit will actually destroy your kidneys if taken long-term, even with the recommended daily dose (most likely to manifest in older people)

it's insane to me that NSAIDs are OTC and don't have any warning about chronic use (especially because doctors are so often like: oh, that part hurts? just take this pill and go away!)

naproxen gave me the worst heartburn i ever had
i asked dr ed if i could cycle through the 3 main nsaids every night so i could sleep longer and at least he told me no if the label wouldn't

i don't need to pain to go away; i need my fingers to recover faster and not get injured

This is just adulthood isn't it? it's so crazy when this really settles in and you accept it

I don't care about the pain anymore at all really, obviously I'd take a cure if it existed.... but the only thing I even think about anymore is sleep. When it gets bad enough I lose sleep for weeks on end, and that cripples everything else. Sleep is the most precious resource after food/water/shelter.

I used to have this mindset, but the anti-inflammatories can also be anti-injury, I think? like if/when I throw out my back (get that POP from a minor sprain), now I go hard with the ibuprofen or whatever and in my experience the recovery is so much more chill. granted it's been a while since I had anything go wrong with my lower back, but... i think i am saying something here... maybe?

I've had a reoccurring back injury for over 20 years. I hate myself though so I just chalk it up to deserved punishment.
