When garbage day is Monday and multiple people in my neighborhood roll their bins out to the street as early as Saturday morning, in an area where it’s not rare to have high winds. I’ve woken up to bins blown over and open with trash blowing down the street. If the wind is bad enough, the bins themselves can end up blowing down the street. I’m lucky that I work from home and my office window looks out to the street. I can leave my bin up by my garage and when I see the truck coming, I can run out and run the bin to the street, wait for them to empty it and then roll it right back to the garage.
