Why do so many people take selfie profile pictures in their car? I’m not talking about dating apps/sites (still never been on one!). The HR/payroll system that I help administer has tons of them. There are a bunch on my local Nextdoor network. I don’t know why it bugs me so much. It’s more confusing than anything.

I think most people feel comfortable taking them in their car because it's a private space, and you look like a fucking idiot when you're out taking a selfie in a hallway or out in the world.

I am hoping to apply for Public Service Loan Forgiveness soon. I had been waiting to join the Biden SAVE plan until July because it would have made my payments go up a bit until July 2024 - then a different payment scheme would have kicked in and it would have gone down to less per month than what I currently pay. The 8th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals blocked the SAVE plan in July. If I had enrolled then my loan payments would have been put on hold but that means I would have been in forbearance and would not have been accruing time for PSLF. I guess I could have bought back that time but it seems like a huge pain the ass on top of the huge pain in the ass of PSLF. Been feeling the bad kind of jerked for several years with this processes.

My grandmother had actually misremember the address but when I looked up the actual address there was a listing just for the separate apartment alone on the property where he lived was currently worth 2.5 million
