Man, I've always been fascinated with alternate realities/timelines etc. shit like that and it's probably why I think Season 5 of LOST is one of the best TV seasons ever. I have definitely thought about those "if I could go back" scenarios quite a bit in my life, especially when I was at some low, low times, but where I am now is in one of the best spots I've ever been in mentally and physically so I can't regret anything.

From my limited caveman cis male perspective there are very few people who de-transition and all the data seems to point to sex changes being the only current cure for gender dysphoria and transitioning the earlier the better as transitioning later in life leads to issues with unwanted bone and body structure which at that point is irreversible and generally leads to more depression in adult trans people.

I saw the nu-Misfits first tour in 96 with Anthrax, Life of Agony, and Cannibal Corpse. Life of Agony were fucking boring. Main highlight of the day was having Paul from Cannibal randomly ask me earlier in the day if I knew the Seattle area because he needed to go make a truck payment at the GM building in Bellevue. I ended up driving him over there. When we got back he took me and a couple friends up on their tour bus for bong hits. At one point, Corpsegrinder came out of the bus bathroom with a bunch of little pieces of toilet paper on his face because he cut himself while shaving.

my nu-misfits story: they had crashed on the sofa of a punk house in my city during the prior tour, and my friend (who had lived at said house) SHAMELESSLY fought to get us into the show for free. against all odds, this worked... we got in via the backstage area and there was nowhere to hang out except the green room, which was insanely small! I got to see them all put on their makeup, which was an insane ordeal. my only "fan question" was about the beeping sound from die die my darling. jerry didn't really seem to know where it came from - I think he said glenn did it via guitar feedback?

my other nice random band interaction memory was walking around outside near the venue where I was planning to see Nile that night, and running into Dallas. he asked me if I knew of any place that had a Galaga machine, and I directed him to a bar that did. he was happy!

These both kick ass. The beeping sound is def from standing in front of the amp while switching one muted guitar pick-up switch to one that’s on full blast.

I always wanted to ask why the fuck it sounds like there’s a distant tone deaf retard during the choruses of Bloodfeast. My guess has always been Spot had no clue what the fuck he was doing, he forgot about a phantom mic somewhere, and they were pressed for time and cash so it became a rush job. That or Danzig overdubbed it because he wanted it to sound more uncomfortable on purpose. Or both. Either way it’s fuckin great.

I saw Cannibal 5 years later and ran into Paul at the bar across the street from the venue after the show. I asked if he remembered the truck payment trip and he immediately lit up with a big smile, shook my hand and yelled YES! I think he even bought me a beer. I’ve seen them many times after, but one show about 10 or so years after that, I ended up in the same room as him and brought it up again, to which he immediately shook his head and said “sorry dude, I don’t remember shit anymore, but thanks if you helped me out!”.

I was bummed when Devourment dropped off some big tour that came through Portland years ago. You probably would have stayed at my house and I would have made you breakfast or took you to one of the old awesome breakfast places that were around back then.

I think you're talking about the NAILS tour where Big Head Todd had a shitfit about us skipping a Monday/Tuesday in "pay $5,000 for an agency to possibly get you a visa, spend 30 hours assembling the documents required (if they would even be possible to find) to self-apply, or risk very likely border rejection" Canada and kicked us off the tour, only to milk Devourment's name on the package for presales as long as possible before admitting they couldn't handle traveling with outlaws.
