I'm working on some new music and unlike my previous releases I've been writing lyrics and coming up with vocal patterns. Not sure if I'm going to record them myself or have friends contribute the vocals, but I'm excited either way. Everything is a lot heavier and darker and I'm excited to see how it comes out.

Still fucking kicking myself over missing this, however it was my first summer after turning 21 and having my own place, so basically a three month long drunk/fuck fest before school started back up

Pork Soda was the first album of theirs I heard as a teenager so it's ingrained in my brain as the best. These days I find Frizzle Fry better than Sailing...

I had The Brown Album but everything after Pork was a huge step down.

That's why I'm more partial to early Primus because it felt like Larry had more of an input and more of a sonic presence. The combination of his weird noisy-ass lead guitar playing with the heavy bass riffs was great. But they stopped focusing on riffs and just indulging whatever goofy shit Les wanted to sing about from Punchbowl-onwards and it just got not great. I will say they were incredible live at Ozzfest 99, though.
