Re: the NOT WORTH ITS OWN THREAD thread could be revived
I'm working on some new music and unlike my previous releases I've been writing lyrics and coming up with vocal patterns. Not sure if I'm going to record them myself or have friends contribute the vocals, but I'm excited either way. Everything is a lot heavier and darker and I'm excited to see how it comes out.

Did anyone else go to Pointless Fest 2004 in Philly? 20 years ago this week. One of my favorite weekends ever

Fact #7
From an empirical viewpoint, the problem with Free Will (and causality) is reconciling determinism and freedom to make sense of morality.

Still fucking kicking myself over missing this, however it was my first summer after turning 21 and having my own place, so basically a three month long drunk/fuck fest before school started back up

I finally looked up rehearsal studios around here, there's one not far from my office that's like $15 an hour if you're just doing drums

Wain's remixes of famous songs are also fucking hilarious. This AC/DC one kills me every time.

I’ve tried over and over again but I can’t stand Les Claypool. Sounds like a neurotic New York Jew trying to be wacky and cool. Nothing you do little man is good. I wish Wenona Ryder had smothered you to death with her big brown beaver.

I absolutely love Sailling the Seas of Cheese and Pork Soda and then most of everything else Primus has done bores me. Frizzle Fry is okay.

Pork Soda was the first album of theirs I heard as a teenager so it's ingrained in my brain as the best. These days I find Frizzle Fry better than Sailing...godofdeadlydeath wrote: ↑Wed Aug 21, 2024 9:39 am I absolutely love Sailling the Seas of Cheese and Pork Soda and then most of everything else Primus has done bores me. I had The Brown Album but everything after Pork was a huge step down.

Re: the NOT WORTH ITS OWN THREAD thread could be revived
That's why I'm more partial to early Primus because it felt like Larry had more of an input and more of a sonic presence. The combination of his weird noisy-ass lead guitar playing with the heavy bass riffs was great. But they stopped focusing on riffs and just indulging whatever goofy shit Les wanted to sing about from Punchbowl-onwards and it just got not great. I will say they were incredible live at Ozzfest 99, though.Toilet Fleet wrote: ↑Wed Aug 21, 2024 10:12 am Motherfucker writes songs and plays the way autists talk in class
