I will say they were incredible live at Ozzfest 99, though.

I was at the one in Washington state, and yeah, they were good. But apparently this was a special one. They were in between songs at one point, and Les starts talking to the crowd:

(Les accent) Hey y’all, do you know who’s next? Slayer is next. You kids like Slayer? (crowd goes crazy) I know you guys like Slayer. Well, how would you like to get stoned with Slayer? (crowd goes even crazier)

Tom proceeds to come out sit on the drum riser and smoke a joint during the next song. The whole crowd looked like a chimney. I saw an interview with Les years later talking about it, and our memory of it is slightly different. I swear it was during My Name Is Mud, but he said a different song.

That is really cool. They didn't do anything like that when I saw them but Buckethead did come out and play on one song with them. Which made me realize Buckethead was just touring Ozzfest with Primus that summer to come out and play one song every afternoon. Not a bad gig!

I thought there was a "Good News" thread but I can't find it. Anyway, I've been at this job since March after having been out of work for almost 18 months. It's my second "Sales Job" but first for a real company selling a real product -- I'm selling internet and networking services to businesses. I've closed 4 sales in the last 3 weeks and I've been getting great feedback from my manager and I have a great team, other than dipshit who did nothing and got himself fired today.

Today I had my 6 Month Evaluation - where I had to conduct a Cold Call and close with a meeting scheduled, and then run the Sales Meeting on the same Zoom session with one of the training managers. They rate you on a scale of 1-100 and anything above 70 is passing and gets you a $1000 bonus for completing your 6th month.

I got 100. I prepared my ass off and just feel pretty good and had to share it.

I might try this tonight. My kids take Melatonin gummies during the week when they have a hard time falling asleep, and the few times I've done it, I've felt great.

One time, my wife and I went to a comedy show and we took what we thought were THC/CBD gummies but it turned out the dispensary gave us the wrong pack and we took them without reading the label, and we saw that they were the right brand but the THC/CBD/Melatonin gummies so we were both sleepy as shit during the show. It felt great but as I was coming down from the THC I hated it. I was never a big weed guy anyway but I decided after that I'll probably only do CBD on its own if I decide to take anything again.

I hate when a job is a multi-hyphenate and they make you do more shit than you should be doing. My last job was like that. I was a "Media & Advertising Sales Associate" but I also was tasked with like managing the company's CRM and training people on it and nobody even used it so it was fucking stupid. This job is much more regimented for your specific role, and I'm thankful for that. I've had so many management jobs where I've had to keep track of 5-7 people and also do my own workload on top of that and it was always so stressful. This is the most enjoyable job I've had in at least 10 years.

I took 5mg last night and didn't fall asleep fast; probably better than not having it tbqh. it makes me a little more drowsy within 20 minutes, but if i don't fall asleep within the time window, i'm screwed. i don't use it often.

i got 3 hrs tops the night before so i was a zombie turning in early yesterday, i still find the melatonin doesnt do anything to help me fall asleep but once i am asleep it increases the quality and depth of it a lot. also hate the zombie feeling waking up the next day so i have to give myself over the 9 hours of sleep just to burn it off
