I was surprised HBO went for this, since the whole group disappearance thing is so played already. Seems kind of like it could be John From Cincinatti all over again, only not likeable.

At least Under The Dome takes pride in it's shittiness. I enjoyed Stephen King's cameo more than the whole first episode of the Leftovers, so I don't really feel like giving it much of a chance, but the wifey might still want to follow it since it's on after True Blood.

I think they outlined the plot in the scene where the weird twin teens and that hot chick are burying the dog. I really, really wanted to like this, but halfway through the episode all I could think was "Liv Tyler seems like a cunt."
