The story this week going into tonight's debate is that a National poll has Harris at 49% and Trump at 49%. Which doesn't tell us much? It always comes down to the states that are in play. But the media wants us to think it's a nail-biter? Am I wrong on that?

Demographics shifts are showing a death sentence for the Republican Party with so few people under the age of 30 identifying as either conservative or republicans and fewer white people is why we have this nightmarish cultural war all out assault from the rightwing. People like Dick Cheney are trying to look at the post Trump future after he's dead predicting no other person able to capture the type of cult of personality and seeing a coming backlash against republicans making it far harder to go back to the same old neocon playbook ( which is equally as destructive) assuming the project 2025 agenda isn't able to get its hooks dug in.

The only way the republicans can survive is to either find another Trump, have project 2025 become imbedded enough to totally disenfranchise voters, to return to "nice" republicans like George Dubya, or to ramp enough of the base into fanatical true believer levels. Any of these things is going to be ultra fucked for the next ten years. Better make that a handle of vodka.

So yes, this sounds insane when you say it like that, but what I think he is referencing here is a promise to provide healthcare to everyone - including those who are incarcerated. Does that sound crazy?

The quality of healthcare provided to incarcerated people is very low, and they are not going to be giving out free gender affirming surgery to everyone who has a passing interest, but one example I can think of from my professional experience was surgical treatment for a prisoner who had attempted to perform self-surgery to get rid of it. Does treating that patient sound like "TRANSGENDER SURGERIES FOR ILLEGAL ALIENS IN PRISONS"?
