Fact #7
From an empirical viewpoint, the problem with Free Will (and causality) is reconciling determinism and freedom to make sense of morality.

Whenever I think about getting attacked by a large bird, I figure I'd try to break it's neck. That fucker looks like you'd have to be pretty strong to get away with that particular fatality...

Re: a thread for the birds
yeah first instinct would be to try and choke it or break its neck and neither is happening. then probably try to go for its eyes while its raking your guys with its enormous claws
best is maybe go for its feet together and try and swing it around in circles upside down and throw it as far as you can
slam it down on the ground as hard as possible
of course if youre in the sand he's like lol nice try
i cant decide whether its going to have good or bad head movement if you tried to box it up. if the head is even going to be there for hitting after you tag it once. he just looks like he's going to have ridiculously prescient head movement in a pinch

i'd need to know more i think because i feel like im overestimating the danger of its feet and underestimating how ridiculously strong it is
you'd have to land a punch with absolute commanding authority to its head one time to have any hope and i still feel like its just going to absorb it unless you're igor vovchanchyn

Re: a thread for the birds
There was an interview I saw a few years ago with a remote jungle tribe where they killed and ate a man…. Not because they are normally cannibals but because they believed this particular man was an evil magician who was stealing the souls of children and they only way to destroy his power was to consume his body. At one point the interviewer asked them what human flesh tasted like: “he didn’t taste very good, like the meat of a cassowary bird.”
