While both Harris and Walz still technically qualify as boomers, it seems like Democrats are finally reaching the generational shift.

The thing I really like about Walz is that every single criticism you can give about a Democrat doesn't really apply to him. He is pro-guns. He doesn't own ANY stocks. He served in the military and served the public for his whole career. All the Fox News crowd has on him is "He's very into the transgender, he provided tampons at schools, he waves weird." They are scrambling and it's great.

Harris? She's more of the same, and I don't love that she's going so hard in appealing to the undecided right-leaning folks with the whole "Actually, our border plan is even tougher than Trump's!" argument, but that's the game, I guess. This country still fucking sucks, but seeing MAGA kind of dwindle away gives me some hope that things might be shifting toward less shitty.

I'm not expecting there to be a major progressive shift if Kamala is elected, but I am optimistic that their administration will be open to progressive policies. Walz has a great track record in MN in my opinion, and he'll be the deciding vote for ties in the Senate. Considering Harris had 33 tie breaking votes over the past four years (the most in history), I'd rather have Walz in those situations than almost any other politician.
